I have no interest in Multiplayer

  1. 1. Do you prefer Singleplayer over Multiplayer?

Recommended Posts

I bought GTA IV at it's release day but I didn't play Multiplayer until 2012. To be honest it did not appeal to me very much. I have tried Multiplayer in GTA V aswell, but it's only fun for a short period. I played for a week, trolling and ruining the gameplay for other people, simply because that was the only thing I found amusing - but that became boring very quickly aswell. Races was quite fun, though. ButI can't say MP appealed to me. Singleplayer have always been most interesting for me in GTA. I always come up with my own stories and things to do in Singleplayer. I do not feel alone at all in SP. As a matter of fact, it feels more empty, and boring in MP. To bad the Singleplayer in GTA V didn't offer more of what previous GTA games did.

What about you? Does anyone else feel this way?

Yes, I prefer Singleplayer over Multiplayer for multiple reasons:

1. The Gta series has always been about the singleplayer experience.

2. I want to play a game peacefully and without a 12 year old screaming through the mic.

3. Singleplayer is what got the series to where it is today.

Personally, it disgusts me to see that Rockstar is shifting its focus to the multiplayer portion of the game.

For me it's Singleplayer over Multiplayer, no matter what.

When I bought IV I thought Rockstar was going for a more serious game which is one of the reason's I love IV, but after playing V it seems that they have gone back to the comical GTA'S of the past. And as far as online they could dump it as far as I'm concerned I found the MP in GTA IV more enjoyable when you didn't run around making money and just drove around collecting weapons and had some great shootouts with other players. And for some reason players in V just seem less friendly but hey it's just my opinion.

Yes, I prefer single-player over multiplayer. Without question.

If GTA got rid of MP altogether, I would not even bat an eyelid.

Online is the biggest load of sh*t to ever exist in GTA games. Easy choice for me!

Like you guys said, SINGLE PLAYER is what made Rockstar's franchise get to where it is today. If they continue their Online bullsh*t nonsense in next GTA games, count me out. I will quit right there on the spot and not buy a damn new GTA game ever again.

Honestly, after completing the story and finding collectibles who gives a f*ck about sinngleplayer? Why do people like Single Player so much?

Lol, go play with your chrome tank in Online, bye.

I don't know why Rockstar is jumping on the multiplayer bandwagon when there are many popular games that have done well being single-player only. I don't know why they've decided to turn the MP into an MMO. It feels out of place and unnecessary.

If you have to ask your missing the point of SP.

I like both, but single player will always be better than multiplayer. Being able to freeroam without annoying people everywhere is fun! Single player also has some awesome outfits that you cannot get in MP, like the SAHP uniform, or the scuba diving gear.

If I want to go online, I would go in a private session since public sessions are mostly filled with hackers ruining the experience. Playing online in private sessions can get boring, unless my friends are online.

Single player also has animals, something Online hasn't got (yet). :p

GTA is, and has always been about the single player experience. I hope that R* realise this and start focusing most of their attention on the single player. :)

Overall, I like both, but SP will always be better! Can't wait for both the Online heists and the SP DLC!

If you don't have an imagination then singleplayer is not for you. You need to have an imagination to fully enjoy Gta's singleplayer experience.

  • Freeroam and participate in what the world has to offer
  • No kiddies in Chrome Adder or Tank spawn killing you
  • No god mode, invisibility, set on fire, freeze console hackers
  • Cheats like Skyfall and Invincibility that can make some fun and hillarious moments
  • More money so you can do whatever you want.

SP is the roots of GTA...that's why we care for it.

Exactly. People can't deny this. As we all seen it from GTA III days up until now. If you're new to GTA, you're clueless.

GTAO was something I was really looking forward to, but it's been a miserable failure thus far.

I prefer single player though, but I like multiplayer in the spirit of GTA IV and RDR. Simple yet fun.

Don't forget the multiple protagonists, and the outfits!

As militia has mentioned, people who are new to GTA are clueless on how Single Player is very important to the GTA series.

How can you not like online? It's pretty much the same ( minus the Hackers/modders who ruined it) as SP with more content like owning properties, cars etc and much more. I still enjoy SP but it gets boring after a while just playing by yourself. I enjoy online cos it's fun playing with friends and others players from around the world although most of them are annoying, it still doesn't hinder me to the fact that online is a blast. GTA O may NOT* be perfect but it's far from a failure.

I used to like Online but now I don't mainly because Rockstar isn't fixing the bugs and glitches in Singleplayer just because they want to focus on Online.

Yeah that's the point./argument. There's invite only sessions that you can do with friends to avoid them

I have never encountered any bugs nor glitches in SP, it's been running perfectly fine for me.

And that's where I stopped reading. You are the type of person I hate and must live a very sad, dark life.

It's quicker to use SP, skipping the invite only stuff.

I only find GTA Online fun with friends in a private game.

Same here. Public games are just filled with hackers and people who want to kill you at every corner.

Actually that has happened to me before but after I immediately got closer, his controller popped up. I guess you can call it a glitch but it's very minor that it doesn't really affect the gameplay
