According to the latest post from Rockstar, the problems are gone with the next update with the modders etc.

It's the comment from Rockstar at the top.

 

So this is indeed no barrier to not bring GTA V to PC, idk who has said this.

Rockstar would never neglect GTA and just go on to other games, because this would have a bad effect on future GTA titles and their image.

 

I doubt their message because..well,

1) They can't stop people changing the DNS settings on their PS3 and there's plenty of legit uses for going into those settings and changing or resetting them.

 

2) As soon as the old hacks are fixed people will find new hacks and the cycle begins again of them 'fixing' things

 

3) Their track record of fixing things in patches isn't the best and they delay things from one patch to another and/or goof up patch code, so it may for instance take away hacked money AND Shark Card money or job money

No it doesn't. The only announcement from R* will be GTAO related stuff. Which is their bread and butter and what they want to be successful. You're jumping to conclusions thinking that GTAV will be announced on PC this side of next year

I don't think they will announce the PC version in the coming days, and propbably not before the first or second week of January has ended, but you have to admit that if they actually want GTAO to be successful they can't depend on PS3/XBOX for too long.

 

GTAV players has already beaten the game more than once, GTAO is a mess right now, and it won't take long until there are a bunch of titles available for PS4/One. They will kill GTAV/O if they don't take it to PC. It would be their most ambitious and least lasting GTA ever.

It's how you enjoy and Not every one loves to live in ignorance rather look forward to the announcement with every new update.

Therea are enough hints to think GTAV PC won't be a port but a game developed side by side with consoles, just like MP3 was. Wether these hints will be true or not in the end, I don't know. Anything could happen.

Remember last year and the 2405 hype? Remember how the newswire was MP3 pretty much 24/7 and people were bashing R* for it? Yeah, that's happening again with GTO. The difference is GTAO is R*'s project for the long term future. Okay so they have to take it to new platforms but first they need to fix all the issues and only then will they announce any new platforms.

Or they could just not announce anything at all and keep on working on GTAO and other games. Which seems likely.

I really don't get your points. Anyways, your focus is stuck over GTA Online only just like many who want us to join you as well in bitching and moaning that's not just silly but pure negative attitude attacking something that's improving with every update.

That's what I am trying to point you and others that look there is a comment from Rockstar to solve the issues pertaining to hacking, etc..

The announcement should come once the update is live and in coming days AFTER it.

I am making it more clear now if it was hard to understand previously.

Not to say that calling a 16-players game "MMO" is pretty sad... I hope they have AT LEAST 32 players on PC, which would not be MMO either, but it would be a decent multiplayer online game.

I think that there will be an announcement in january after they've released the update. And I also think that Rockstar's developers aren't that silly that they can't fix those issues as many say there will be new ways to hack/mod GTA Online.

I could imagine that they make some newswire posts before the announcement, so we get disappointed again. But the announcement has to come soon, because it has been more then three months and one week and they also know that there are other games coming which are competing againts, for example watch dogs. So in my opinion they want to release it before watch dogs is released, to get the biggest profits.

The fact that they are passing our questions, strenghtens the fact that they're working on the PC version. Otherwise they had said months before that there won't be a PC version of the game. Abandon other facts like the bugreport file...

As my signature refers to a quote the same applies with people not looking at more obvious and right aspects instead taking the easy route of attacking gta online and rockstar with all sorts of theories.

Online has definitely made Rockstar preoccupied more than they shouldn't which is the only terrible side of GTA Online. It's not foolproof yet and Rockstar has rushed it towards an early release.

New year will bring better updates and we will finally see GTA V's true potential both online and offline!!

Oh wow, you don't say? You mean they actually attempted to fix something they should have? Man, who would have thought someone would do their job?

 

Want to know why the community isn't jumping st Rockstar screaming take my money? Because they are supposed to do this. In a restaurant, a cook doesn't get a raise, a few days off and his paycheck early because he got a dish out on time, so why should we be licking Rockstar's dick because they did their job?

 

It's one thing if they went and did something out of the blue to help out their customers (like giving everyone involved in the GTAO launch debacle a free 500k), but for them to do their job, especially one that directly impacts their chances of selling cards? No, I refuse to bow down on one knee and take it like a servant.

 

You seem to be a fanboi or something, Idc but don't go bitching at us because we're not happy and forgive rockstar for being money hungry f*cks. I'm at the point where I odont even give a damn about V anymore. I play IV more than V and I won't pay more than 15 bucks for V when it comes out. I already played 80% of it on console, it's NOT a new game, it is NOT hyped for me, and I do NOT care about it anymore. Literally forced into not caring about their game because they refuse to een talk about it.

 

I hate Bethesda because they always make weakly coded games and their cut corners and come out products that are not as good as they should be, but I'll take them anyday. But my god, Rockstar is now in the exact same boat as EA. And have been seriously contemplating whether or not to actually pay for V. I don't care about online so that's not an issue, I just don't want to support those greedy, sweaty, bastards.

Read the post word-to-word carefully because you are twisting some of my points to a different meaning.

I am just quoting a fellow member who shared about new R* comment CONFIRMED by them not as an attempt to fix online issues but to end them completely (read their comment) and even punish those hackers.

Now why are you bringing Cash Cards into this that's optional and yet to be fully fleshed out feature?

 

I am a selfish guy, not a supporter of Rockstar nor against you guys but one who loves gaming over anyone because both of you can't be trusted.

I love GTA (& gaming in general) it's an unbiased non-living object that will entertain me be it online or offline. I was least interested in GTA Online initially but now it's getting interesting and will play it till PC version comes out.

On topic, The main highlight of the Rockstar comment is they are aware of the issues and have sorted out most important ones. With upcoming substantial updates we will have a much better experience.

As such, there is nothing wrong to expect an announcement about PC or some words of any progress in making it.
