Why do it later when its done now by someone who is experienced in rigging?

Don't you want map and other things finished before jumping to this? It's good but at this time we focus on finishing the map and ect. He can join if he wants.

 

I support this approach. At this stage, everyone wants to see the complete map, and then it's easy to play with visual look, peds behavior, scripts etc.

Don't you have like specific roles for your members? Or are all 16 just Mappers?, well, 15, ZZCOOL being the "I Make The Video" Guy. Get some structure up in here, or at least assign a proper project manager! That way you can STILL work on the map whilst also incorporating work from others, such as the player and ped stuff by ac, who's already much further and much more advanced than anything you guys have rushed out so far, just saying, he's nailed the process pretty well and he's already doing multiple clothing packs.

 

Speaking from experience here, these things go much smoother once you introduce an actual structured system so everyone knows what they are doing and what's coming from other parties, etc. I mean, you mentioned ages ago about the Radio, any progress on that? You said you didn't know how to alter the slot times, that's actually known now, how about the UI? There are people out there who will work on that for you guys, especially as we have the dumped RGB values and more, etc.

We have only 4 map converters at this time. Rest of team has other assigned jobs to do. We have have a proper team assignments. Well he has to come to us we don't come to him. We have alot of things done and finished. People want to see map finished peds and players aren't nothing to special til you get the other content done. I am sorry but we got it handled. We are open to people who can do rigging and radio well we can't use IV radio system we have to write a custom script. You need to understand we have things on a check list that we need to do and fill.

 

We have Julio and other programmers on this team we have issues that we don't discuss public and we have to have custom tools for these things. This isn't a SA mod please let us focus on what's important. I don't mean disrespect but there's tons of things we have to slove and fix. IV very limited and have to do tons of work arounds.

2) "This isn't a SA mod", sorry, but I did take disrespect to that as we pushed modding that engine to breaking point in terms of making things as native as possible and not relying on plug ins and script hacks, their is plenty I know about limits of both sides, but putting your head in the sand and looking for an easy way out isn't the way, the things you've brought up as problems, have actually been solved or near solved in the past by other members, some very high profile members in the modding scene.

Also we will accept help but they have to come to us. We have tons of support and team members always active. Wish i could throw some other issues we have but i can't be asked to write a huge list of them. Audio for this mod will have car sounds and much more aswell to let everyone know.

How about TV? CNT and WEAZEL can be easily stitched together, the playlist for the show order is in the files so it's just a case of matching them and dumping out a joint bink instead which GTA IV can use fine.

 

Come on speak up, I'm sick of this thread being bullsh*t ass kissing and talk about what ENB to use, this shouldn't be in this section, that's why it needs to be in the modding section so we can talk about the REAL stuff that matters instead of this show and dance you guys are doing here, come to the modding section so you can get some real advice from people that know their sh*t, and also, so you can openly speak about what you're struggling with, how we can help, etc. Surely it's got to be better than "OMG MAYBE U GUYZ SUHD USE THIS ENB?".

 

If not, then whatever, good luck, because right now, I know you guys are talented, but all this pussying about is just annoying promoting facebook pages and twitter feeds and begging you YouTube Subscribers, etc, it doesn't inspire the best confidence to me.

Well that's only few stations. Also there's nothing wrong with the enb. Just because you hate it doesn't mean rest do. We have options we have buzz working on serval options we have main timecyc that we doing aswell and enb with high and medium and low settings. TV is a great idea but we aren't at that point yet to even have TV in game yet. Audio is handled by a team member who has everything ready. I already have the stations done. But we can't cut people from having only few stations. ZZcool is the 1 who wanted to do video's and all this other stuff not us. We don't like him to do video's every week. I told him to back off and let us decide when to do a video.

You didn't answer my questions. I want to know how you guys are handling the audio here. And are you seriously telling me you're going to ship all the radio stations in this mod? That's a daft idea as people mainly want this to sample what GTAV could be like, having all the radio in there is going to bloat the size, please, explain how you are doing this, modder to modder, none of this sugar coated GTAV friendly dumbed down sh*t.

All I'm asking is file formats for the audio, how are you getting them from the console, to this apparent new system, I want to know how you guys are handling this here, audio is a very easy thing to f*ck up, I want the confidence that you guys are handling this stuff properly, especially as there's a way to get pretty much native audio direct as Rockstar encoded for the game without a hitch.

I had took efforts to convert them into Wavefront Obj and sent those to him instead of sitting and insulting others. I bet you might have never heard about .obj Extension before.

I think it's cute how Naznesss tried to argue with Ash_735. Nazzy-poo, you aren't going to win an argument with someone who knows far more about modding than you do. Making a map mod on a unoptimized engine isn't the most extensive and impressive thing you can do. If I were you, I'd start checking out file documentations that are on sites like GTAModding. It'd also be a good idea to stop arguing over nothing as a whole. You have a mod to complete. I doubt you want a locked topic on your hands, too.

Making a map mod on a unoptimized engine isn't the most extensive and impressive thing you can do. If I were you, I'd start checking out file documentations that are on sites like GTAModding. It'd also be a good idea to stop arguing over nothing as a whole. You have a mod to complete. I doubt you want a locked topic on your hands, too.

So, is there anyone in charge of the countryside, because as far as I know, the countryside is much bigger than the city-area.

 

Sorry if I made that sound as if I was rushing the project.

 

From what i know, The Green Part will be "GTA IV Los Santos" and the RED Part, is what had to be cut, to fit in GTA IV Boundaries!
