gta 5 converted to iv

Credit doesn't matter when someone else is making money for it.

People upload the mods for free on the internet. If they don't want others to make videos off of it and possibily make some money then they shouldn't upload it for free. Simple.

 

You're a modder, are you telling me that you wouldn't be upset if you worked hard on a mod and then someone else made money off of it?

 

We actually approached zzcool to make videos from GTAIV: San Andreas. That mod was purely done by enthusiasm by us. If he used advertisements on the videos to make money off of it, that's entirely his choice.

 

And that was your choice. Go ask the creator of Iron Man IV and see how he feels.

 

oh yeah that mess it's what killed my channel

 

the mod was months old and once i had made a video of it it wen't viral the author was very happy about this the recognitiion he got i even linked to his facebook page he never once asked me to add more links he even rebooted the entire project after it wen't viral across news sites he was so happy about it posting on facebook every single news article saying "kotaku featured my mod" knowing it was because of me it happened

 

yet he yelled me out for stealing his views and i did offer him money that pissed him off so many people made a video of that mod HUGE youtubers made a video of that mod did he care about them? no only me

 

look at officerspeirs and the millions of monetized views he got on that iron man mod

 

profit is not the reason i am doing this i care about being special to mean something to people you have no idea how much money i have lost to make people feel fairly treated

 

i offered wapeddell too as he tried to get me to take down my latrest iron man mod video that contained ripped sound from the iron man game i did not know this and he told me he owned the sound i had no choice but to audioswap the video

 

i begged him and he laughed in my face he started asking me to buy him a freaking gtx titan

 

so yeah 2013 was my own personal hell some may think i deserved it but i never meant to do anything bad to anyone and i did what i could to make everyone feel fairly treated

 

as for this mod it will soon be finished

Technically it can. It's just that vehicles in V have more health it seems like. So it takes longer for them to get as banged up like in IV

 

as far as i kno they can't get this banged up but yes they are tanks but in the end they do deform but this much?

I'm still curious about the map limits. Someone asked about it earlier but was answered with "Have faith" - what the f*ck?

 

So really, did you somehow edit the .exe or something? How would you go about editing the map limits, and how did you? I know IV: SA had this problem too since LS, SF, and LV are larger than IV - so how did that team get around the map limit?

You have to be kidding me. It's common knowledge that the whole map can't fit into IV. It's a matter of memhacking, and that as whole can be tedious and quite difficult. Watch your attitude if you don't know what you're talking about.

 

Calm down, I had no attitude. I was just asking a question, and after searching for "limit" in the thread I found Ash's post explaining the video was cut before OP reached Mount Chiliad.

Either scaled or crazy offsets from the origin point were used, the latter will cause lovely performance issues due to off-screen drawing.
yeah it is scaled it is much smaller than the one in gta 5 but it still is impressive

The map can be scaled down to fit IV's limits. If they want to have the whole map and have it unscaled, they need to hack the limits. It's not that hard to comprehend.

I'll take NTAuthority's word over anyone's because he's a legend that really knows his stuff. And also zzcool because this is his project.

PM me. If your a programmer and really tech savvy and have a modded xbox (Or can affod one) I can tell you a way to get you a sh*tload of youtube subscribers and views.

You know what ill just tell you here... What you gotta do is get a modded a RGH Xbox 360 and host Call of Duty Modded Lobbies. Then as a requirement they have to subscribe. You could also host an XBLStealth server for your subscribers but that's a hell of a lot of work...

Oh okay. When I read "scaled" I thought it meant it was literally scaled, like everything was half the size, so it would only take up a bit of space inside the limits. So it just cuts off near Vinewood Hills?

Not yet. If the limits are hacked we can get the full map. Don't be disappointed. :)

It depends on your hardware (and your settings). It'll take some work to make IV will be compliant with the little tweaks. It shouldn't be too much work, but it'll be tedious none-the-less.

No. I'm working on other things. I'm just trying to clear up questions for people.

This is a nice project but like the NGClan says it has to be done by adjusting the limits..
Like in the old SA days where you had to adjust the memory.

 

Though honestly the textures look completely different with the updated engine the way they are rendered is just beautiful.

Sounds like you'd need CryEngine or Frostbite to do that

I think it supports it. In IV you can destroy the pillars in the big house from the final mission.

It does, there are a few spots and missions in IV and V that are destructible. But small. Buildings would take a hell of a lot of work

Or Geo-Mod 2, but who knows who owns Red Faction or if Volition still owns the engine now?
