someone stole my psn account

so i just got home from a party, turn on my ps3, "ERROR: SIGN IN ID IS INCORRECT"

 

 

going to my email inbox, only to see two emails about password and ID change

 

well, since grand theft auto is the last thing i've played, and actually ONLY thing this whole week, i think its safe to say that im never going on its multiplayer again

This seems strange -- seems like a PSN hack rather than a hack through the game. Or did you link your account to Social Club and maybe somebody got to it that way?

Can you log into your sony account from a computer and request a password reset ?

 

Don't know if they've been able to change the registered email address, or indeed, if that's possible ?

It could be a hack using that psn security breach in 2013 when hackers recieved a base of psn names and passwords. It happened to me and retrieving psn account took me about 20 days. But it was russian psn support, maybe in your country they wor better.

well if you know all your info, you could ring sony support and that will help, my nephew stupidly gave his password out, yea 10 yo. But anyways I used false info to create his account. In the end after ringing sony got that account suspended so yea. Just ring sony sort it if you have the right details you may get it back if not they will suspend it.

i have no idea what the other details of my account are, my cousins basically made it for me in 2009

this fkng sucks

Yea thats the big one, I was lucky enough to delete cred details on nephews ps3 after each purchase.

ohh, well, i never use them for it because of things like this

i think i found an easy way to get my stuff back, only requires my ps3 serial number and past account sign in details

Look into ur pm box in a minute or so, no help to save your now lost account but.. the least i can do for a fellow ps3 forum member.

Did you use the same password that you used for your PSN account on other websites/services? If so, you should go change those passwords immediately.

Sounds like this is the excuse he will be using with rockstar not to get banned for cheating.

why dont i steal your account and put your information into jeopardy, and then see who's making excuses hm?

wouldn't say thru the game, maybe they just got lucky and guessed your pw sh*t like that but who the frig knows and if this guy is using this as an excuse not to get banned well then he shouldn't get banned because it's frigging far more original than the excuses being thrown around. And also he will get an email from sony as well about being hacked which he could then show rockstar.
