Is there a limit for new dff and txd file injected by modloader? My game crashed on loading when i have a lot of model mod injected with new id.

Yea nevermind. Apparently there is limit of object added into the game. Silly me

Because it i put in main folder it will crash due to Windows 10 so i pass through modloader :)

Not works for ViceCity ı didn't run it. Car mods not working with this. Any helps ? 

 

Edit: Also Textures didn't work.

I've installed everything correctly by one by. (Put the Modloader folder to RootDirectory, Scripts folders incldudes asi plugins, cleo have been installed etc. ) What's the actual problem ? 

 

I'll planning use Modloader with MVL i don't want to change GTA3.img to avoid crashes. Please help me. Thnx

Is there a way to make Modloader to replace files not only in original GTA SA folders, but also in third-party ones, which by default weren't in SA folder?

For example, drag the modified gta.dat into the modloader folder, and thus that file would replace the same ones in data folder and, for example, in ModdedSAA folder.

Maybe, but why you want to do that anyway? It's recommended to install the mod that just replacing the gta files itself. Third-party one? I guess it's better using one of them rather than using two. I don't know the effect yet to game, but if you insist just try it with copy+paste metode.

Hey guys, may be someone can help me here

I am trying to mod my Vice City and I am using just awesome Modloader

It is working great for me, most of mods are loading dynamically without any glitches, still, I for some reason met some strange problem

 

For some peds/cars when I am putting dff and txd file to modloader folder (and inside of it some custom folder, of course) sometimes textures can just become white.

When I am checking log, I can see, that both dff and txd tried to load by modloader but still very strange behaviour.

 

For example, I have this problem for merced.dff and merced.txd - this is Admiral car of Ken Rozenberg from the first cutscene (not the game itself). When I am putting these two files in modloader/vehicles folder - the texture becomes white.

And when I edited my gta3.img file directly (deleted old merced files and put new one inside there) - everything worked fine.

 

So I just don't understand - is it problem with Modloader or just some configuration? I tried to use versions of Modloader  0.3.7 and 0.3.5


Here you can see screenshots how it looks for me

As you can see, new textures for Tommy, Ken and guys installed correctly.

And it seems that Modloader is using old DFF model of Admiral car, but tries to load New TXD texture. And still if I try to import the same dff and txd inside gta3.img, everything will work correctly

Hey GraphiX

 

At first check if you have III.VC.SA.LimitAdjuster.asi in your scripts folder

Also, inside your modloader folder in root directory, you should create some other folder, for example "cars". Inside this folder you should put dff and txd files. They should be named correctly (like they are name in GTA3.img)

I need this for easily enabling/disabling/editing mods in SAMP.

 

SAMP uses some files not from the default Data folder, but from its samp.saa (in particular, gta.dat, handling, vehicles, carmods and so on) - it's kind of an archive for storing and protecting some important pieces.
Therefore, if i add, for example, modified handling.cfg to 'modloader' folder, then the controllability of cars will change only in singleplayer, not in SAMP. It's because Modloader doesn't have an effect on samp.saa

 

But there's ModdedSAA specially for modding files in samp.saa. It's an asi-plugin with the folder 'ModdedSAA' attached to it; works almost in same way as Modloader, but only for samp.saa files.
You just put to the 'ModdedSAA' folder same files, which are archived and encrypted in samp.saa, then edit them as you wish, and changes are applied in SAMP.

 

The problem is ModdedSAA has no easy on/off switch. Modloader - does, but it has no effect either on 'ModdedSAA' folder, nor samp.saa archive.
Putting and deleting files in 'ModdedSAA' isn't as sweet, as controlling everything with Modloader only. That's why i'm looking the way to make Modloader to change files not just in standart GTA SA folders, but in non-default 'ModdedSAA' too.

 

Pls help, if you have an ideas.

Everything is ready like you said. I've already done that steps. Filenames (col, txd and dff's) matches original gta3.img and vehicles.col. But modlaoder doesn't work to me.

make sure your cleo.asi file in scripts folder.

 

That "useless" tool is one of the best thing ever been created for gta

Thank you for your help. 

 

I tried and it didn't work again. Old Admiral still remaining.

I'm sorry but still useless. (at least for me)

1) For you it seems like any scripts are not working at all

I am not sure about 15 dll files, but in order scripts to work, you need in fact only 1 dll file

It is Ultimate ASI Loader - https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases

There are 2 versions - for 32bit or for 64bit systems. Inside you will find dinput8.dll file. You have to put it to ROOT folder.

 

2) Now you have to check, whether any script is working or not. For example you can do it with CLEO. You are downloading version for Vice City here https://cleo.li/ and then from archive put CLEO to root folder, and VC.CLEO. asi - to scripts folder

 

3) After you do that you can launch the game.

IF everything worked correctly - you WILL see small "CLEO 2.0.0.5" sign at bottom left corner of screen in Main Menu.

IF NOT - it means that something is wrong. Either you should use another bit version of ASI loader, or you have not version 1.0 of Vice City

 

4) Only if you have small "CLEO 2.0.0.5" sign in Main Menu, you can then continue with modloader.

As already been said, put modloader.asi to scripts and complete folder modloader to root folder. Inside modloader folder there should be .data and .profiles.

Then you do everything like you already did - create admiral folder inside modloader folder and put there dff and txd

Hey GraphiX, try this on a Clean Install of VC:

➤Download the SY_Modloader.zip from the following link.

➤Paste that zip in your Vice City Root Directory (where the gta-vc.exe is located). 

➤Right Click the zip > Click Extract Here. 

You're done!!! You've successfully installed Modloader + CLEO

 

Now make a new folder inside the modloader folder > Paste your .dff and .txd files inside this folder. 

 

Test the changes in game.
