Link i see you are working a lot on modloader to make it even better, can we expect a new update in the near future?

By this month we should see more than one update, if it's possible I'd like to see all files supported by the end of the month :)

Link, some bugs I've noticed are when using Overdose Effects, some objects will actually bleed if not installed the old fashioned way, also with dual weapons muzzle flash wont work on the second weapon. ENB series is completely bugged. Custom timecyc's that require a modded gta_sa.exe (i.e vG Jakes ENB Series) wont work unless installed the old fashioned way, and a lot of it seems to be a bit buggy at the moment. Do you plan on fixing these issues within the next few updates or so?

 

Update: Also, how do you install/use your Automatic LOD modification? I don't see any instructions with it what so ever. Sorry if I'm a bit noob-ish with some of this stuff.

None of these are 'issues' with Mod Loader. Not all of Overdose Effects' files work with Mod Loader yet, so that's why it has issues.

 

ENB isn't supported. A timecyc that requires a modded exe is only needed for SAMP, which will be supported in the next version.

 

Automatic LOD is a drag and drop into Mod Loader or the main San Andreas directory.

Do I copy the auto-lod.asi and src into a folder i.e "Auto-Lod" then put it in GTA San Andreas > Mod Loader? Or do I extract the files from the src WinRar file and put it into the folder I'm placing the auto-lod.asi into?

Im assuming you play SA-MP right? That is an IMFX bug when you set "USE SA-MP=1" in the config file, nothing to do whit modloader, i can confirm that because it hapenned to me too.For the "Auto-Lod" there are many ways to install it, you can either put it inside: Gta San Andreas/modloader/whatever name/auto-lod.asi, or you can simply drag it inside the main SA directory.You can also install Silent's ASI Loader and put it inside the "scripts" folder.

 

EDIT: You only need the .asi file, src is the source code you don't need it unless you're a modder.

Actually, I don't use IMFX's mods that I can recall, here's a screen shot of ALL of the mods I use, most of the .ASI mods are Ryosuke's, except Silents ASI loader.

I'm pretty sure all of them are compatible with each other, I can't say for certain though. I never had these issues when installing them them the old way.

I know for sure that some files from Overdose Effects are not fully supported yet, so that may be the cause of the bugs, try removing it and see if the problem persists. Modloader is still in development so we have to give Link some time to fix all the issues whit it.

Hmm. I've tried this with just Mod Loader and SilentPL's ASI loader, without any other mods and the .cs didn't work.. I put it in a folder named CLEO4 inside the Mod Loader folder, with no success.

They're supported. You could have another mod using the same files which are overwriting the new ones. Set the Maps LA folders priority to 1, that should solve it.

modloader/my map/data/maps/LA/LAe2.IPL should work fine.

You could always check the log to see if it's loading a mixed IPL (at modloader/.data/cache/std-data) and also always take a look at the mixed IPL there.

Would it be possible to make mod loader ignore folders or files starting with _? for example I want to uninstal or temporarliy uninstal all the files from the folder called FixedPrelight so I rename it to _FixedPrelight and mod loader ignores it?

Why not just open the ini and set the folders priority to 0?

can't figure it out ...

 

so i jsut place the modloader in the gta folder same with cleo,

then i just create a folder ''called skins'' into modloader

in the folder skins i place the .dff ant the .txd ?

 

then i sould be okay or am i missing something?

Oh come on.. seriously?

 

Install the latest CLEO (4.3), put modloader.asi and the Mod Loader folder inside your game directory and then put your mod files inside another folder inside the Mod Loader folder.
