Do you have a AMD graphic card?

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTO, driver version 307.83 (can only use the legacy drivers)

CPU: Pentium 4 HT 3.0GHz

RAM: 1 GB

OS: Win 7 32-bit

Before you start a saved game, change the brightness setting.

Then, when you load a saved game it won't have saved the brightness setting you had just made. Is this fixable?

do you use the stream.ini from PS2? If so it will default your brightness to default. You can just remove the brightness lines from the .ini though.

Oh, I thought the stream.ini stuff didn't make any difference. I'll give that a try later today. Just to be sure, I remove "brightness (numbers)", right?

I'm not sure, but isn't CJ supposed to hold meal while performing eating animation? Like peds inside Pizzeria interiors, who hold pizzas.

I remember seeing a mod like this on LC.ru. CJ even sat down @ a table to eat his meal too.

That goes beyond a fix, adding the table and everything. A proper fix should add the food to his hand just like the Sprunk can when drinking. This was also fixed in Bully, where Jimmy has animation for eating several foods.

Well, I was hoping for an SilentPatch update in the new year ( non-beta version for SA and updated versions for III/VC )

Silent, we certainly are willing to wait for updates of GREAT mods though looong time, but can you tell us something about current development progress/approximate release dates ?..

Whilst playtesting with the framelimiter off I also noticed cars on highways dissapearing in front of me and cars spawning one in another.

The symptoms you describe are also associated with too much play time. It's really bad at 150 hours but can be noticed sooner if you know what to look for. Or perhaps your frame limiter tests make the problem worse. Either way you'll probably want to add this to your list of experimental variables.

 

Oh no! The PS2 version have a grave bug that almost makes the game completely unplayable at some point, not sure if it was around 500 hours. Scripted cars drive too fast to follow the road and it's not fun. If you drive in traffic, your vehicle will get fissioned with other vehicles all the time. It's a big disappointment to hear of similar (if not the same?) bug in the PC version.

 

There's too much to do in the game, 500 hours (let alone 150) is not enough.

So why not just take it off from the menu?

Does disabling it make a difference on 12 years old PC's?

 

Wow, just wow. :D You know some people prefer to play the game on a smooth 60 fps with vsync ON even if that gives them a few problems. For me 30 fps would just render the game a lot less enjoyable.

 

Anyway I'd like to ask something: I've just installed the SilentPatch to my SA. I have a few mods (nothing big though, mostly HUD modifications and a few fixes) so what happens if I just load my saved game and continue to play the playthrough I have in progress with the SilentPatch? Can I do it or will that lead to problems?

@format c: - happens to me too, are you using PS2 shadows? (i.e. shadows from particle.txd)

@ZaxxerDog - For simple driving and shooting around more than 30FPS is fine, however some of us also want to do 100% storyline without any flaws.

About the save, no you should be fine.

Turns out those static shadows aren't all that perfect as we thought they were:

And yeah that happens to me as well :/.

 

EDIT: Shadow from under the car disappears when the player is not driving it, I posted this in another thread some time ago.
