@Silent, out of curiosity, what was your working attempt to "fix" the invisible weapon bug if behind the windscreen and/or car windows of the vehicle where a ped is in? Did you rendered the ped's weapon clump directly in CPed::Render by getting rid of CVisibilityPlugins::ms_weaponPedsForPC render chain, or did you moved CVisibilityPlugins::RenderWeaponPedsForPC before CVisibilityPlugins::RenderAlphaAtomics under CRenderer::RenderOneNonRoad? I may opt for the second approach being cheaper and fairly better (assuming it does work as expected). :p

I've made use of the article about rendering you linked some time ago. Now pixels with 255 alpha render with CPed::Render and transparent pixels render after the scene, i.e. in the same place R* did it :)

 

EDIT:

ALPHAFUNCTIONREF set to 0 didn't help at all with the issue due to moving the rendering to CPed::Render.

Moar fixes! Hunter interior now shows all the time, no matter from what angle you're looking at it:

@Wesser - Hunter's door now lands at the very beginning of the alphalist, no matter what it's distance from camera is. I expected it to render above other parts when looking at the door through Hunter's body, but luckily it doesn't :)

Speaking of helicopters, there's a bug where some back rotors don't show up in a particular angle. Apparently only happens with leviathan and cargobob

All of these fixes are amazing Silent. It's nice after all this time there's still someone working on SA stuff especially hard to do things like fixing R* bugs.

Is there any chance to lift the cars get dirty over time from 1.01 as well?

Your fix for the hunter is a specific model thing or it's global? Because I remember seeing that bug with other vehicles aswell, boat windows, for exemple.

 

You're planning to do something about controls? Maybe recovering the hover function on jetpack, like PS2.

Windows on boats tend to either hide the interior, water or both. At work right now so I can't give a specific example but GTAWiki gives the following:

Also in GTA San Andreas, if you look through the Tropic's windows while surrounded by water, you will notice that there is no water. This is also present in the Reefer, Predator, and any other boat with windows.

The tropic boat is all can remeber now, but I'm sure I have seen this on other cars too.

Boom! 1.01 fix ported and in all versions blown up cars are now as dark as they should be (luckily Steam EXE does not revert this fix!):

Yeah well, I use another mod, in fact a edited texture inside vehicle.txd, so the cars are clean all the time. But a fix like this should add some realism in general.

 

The fixes and tweaks that you done to SA for VCSPC will be in the patch?
