Last "beta" has this strange brakelight behavior.

 

(the whole car gets lighted when I brake )

 

 

Is that intentional ???

 

(obs.: this happens with all cars...and no, they are not vanilla cars)

Silent, I have an issue, this has happened to me several times. I removed some cleo mods, radar texture and iOS hud icons (every mod I load them with modloader) and now the aircraft and parked cars doesn't spawns anymore, this 'bug' affects all car/aircraft spawn points on the map (on my game). I removed every mod, tested and reinstalled again and nothing works. This has happened to me several times and I don't know if have a fix or something, if is possible. Some strange this thing. I don't know if more people have this issue or has happened this other times. Thanks in advance.

Happens in my game as well, most of the parking lots are empty.

EDIT: Removing the patch fixes it, but ofc that's not an option.

This is a problem with the mods, so yes, it's intentional, because those vehicles don't use the San Andreas texture for the vehicle lights, they instead use placed coronas, as this patch fixes corona lighting, they are literally treated as lights. So when you turn the brakes on or whatever, the game doesn't see them as brake lights/rear lights, it will see them as two lamps appearing behind the vehicle, and of course, it will light up the vehicle accordingly.

I get this on default vehicles as well. But to be fair, it's always happened in GTA.

Hey silent, you know why the player and weapon models dont react to the fog or sandstorm tint effect?

I asked this earlier on in the thread and nobody answered me, so I want to know this also! :p

What about the parked vehicles spawning problem?

 

Well, I tested my game without SilentPatch and still the same, no parked cars and no planes parked on the airports. :/

I don't think so is that, I started a new game (is supposed to be 'clean') and still the same annoying 'bug'.

Well this would end up happening one day, it's starting to run out of bugs since you fixed most of them. And considering we all have modded games full of scripts and other stuff, it's hard to tell if a bug is caused by a conflicting/broken mod or not.

Hey, Cichy. When playing my SA today, I've discovered a bug. I dunno if it's a script or model issue, but still I'm gonna write 'bout it here.

 

So here I am testing Birdie's GTA V Stratum, when all of sudden, I see this:

 

for the blind people, the pole is transparent and you can see the car through it (and textures too)

It also depends on the distance to see through it.

I'm no modder, scripter or any of that stuff, so, if this possible, someone (yes, you too Silent) solve that mistery and possibly fix it. Thanks.

 

PS. It also happens without the patch. And I have two pass rendering turned off.

So inadequate and StrafeBolt, since you both have this parked car problems, how about finding out what you guys have in common here, what EXE do you guys use, do you use any of the same mods?

It is a phenomenon. SilentPatch is becoming the default plugin for SA. All other mods needs to be rewritten to be compatible. Not to mention SilentPatch dependent mods.

 

EDIT - Try to remove mine IPL's and IDE's. I didn't done nothing wrong AFAIK, but...

I do what I can to preserve compatibility with mods. But this does not seem to be a vanilla game bug nor SilentPatch bug, means I don't have anything to do there. I don't plan including fixes for mods.

Well, I removed all modloader folder with every mod, and now the planes and vehicles spawns again, definitely is a mod, i'm gonna look into it and if I find the 'bug' I report it here. :)

 

EDIT:

I found the issue (at least on my game), is this mod: Bolshe mashin avtosalone dogerti

Needs to be rewritten, I think.

 

Now the parkings and airports works properly, for now.

So...we are going to need a "patch" for SilentPatch ! ( :evilgrin: )

 

Anyway....A fix for that would be very welcome, cause several Big GTA web-sites have thousands and thousands of vehicles and 90% of those will show this problem, probably. (well...at least all my 200 cars show this problem).

 

Not a big deal as long as I keep using some old releases of Silent Patch.

 

BUT...if it is really impossible to fix that, at least we need to be able to disable those "extra" lightining by INI file. So...we can still keep using always the lastest version.

(PS...I'm not complaining...I'm just a little worried due to this Patch has become essential...a Must Have...an integral part of the game...and not just a toy for people play some cheat codes)

Ehh, it's difficult to say, and this might upset some people. But the aim of this patch is to get the game working in stock as it should have done, this patch is for people who want to re-install the game and give it a playthrough again, etc, not for the people who heavily mod the game, we can't guarantee it'll work with mods because some mods out there would have used broken parts and glitches as exploits and work arounds.

 

The fact that we have very little complaints about stock game, with most of the past couple of pages all having their problems Mod related, I'd guess this patch is pretty much done, as it's done what it set out and fixed the stock game.

 

The best advice to give really would be to NOT use this patch if you intend to use a huge amount of vehicle mods, I mean, I can say this for certain, Majority of Helicopter Mods out there won't even have the blurring texture, so the Helicopter Rotor fix would break those, and since people can build their vehicles in different ways there is no way for sure to know what fixes or exploits were used.

 

edit: And just to clarify, there's nothing to "fix", this IS how the game should be treating those light objects, it's the vehicle makers fault for putting two lamps behind the vehicle instead of using the stock lighting for vehicle, so in a sense, they used an exploit, the lights NOT working properly, to do that the quick way.

Not using this patch has left of being optional long ago...It's mandatory now. I will keep using an old version. As I said, it's not a big deal.

 

BTW....It's perfectly possible to have a heavily modded game and it continues being playable...like mine one is. I'm a big lover of Stock "atmosphere". All my cars (and all other modifications) fit perfectly into original purpose of the game.

 

sh*t cars don't mean sh*t models, though...So I've replaced all those ugly models for better ones...but keeping the same general look and feel.

 

Actually, I would dare to say...The artistic job Rockstar did must be respected...but the tecnical job is tottaly crappy. Not deserve being a "cult" as some people like to say. That's the reason we are here, in this great MODDING community.

Game FPS has been limited to 1000 FPS (with Frame Limiter off) to prevent freezing during fadeout moments

I'm not sure if it's a good idea. with the latest beta patch my framerate is very unstable, even if I turn off frame limiter

But lights are a valid behaviour. You'd see this in a stock game too, just rarely.
