It doesn't remove it, just changes the behaviour. Vanilla (-1/0) will have it in a static position & applied (1) will have it follow VC behaviour & change according to sun position.

Ooooh ok, thanks! There is anyway to disable it?

It's not a script thing. Also, mixmods.com.br is the best website for downloading mods.

So you claim that the website which is stealing and gathering mods from other websites without author's permissions and making profit off it is the best? mmmkay.👀

Redistributing mostly open source software is not stealing. And most of the mod creators don't publish their mods with any license, so anybody can redistribute and modify them. They guy who set up the website is a respectable member of the modding community and I believe that any issue with the authors would have been sorted by now. It is just uncomparably better than any other sketchy GTA modding website out there.

I think mixsets has an option to remove that lighting, not completely sure though.

Hello @Silent, I can't turn off DirectionalFromSun. (Sun reflexion on peds & cars)

Even if I put -1, 0 or 1 the sun reflexion wouldn't disappear.

Can someone help me with this issue please? Thanks!

Uhm.. How is this a "Issue" If this is supposed to be a improvement over the original game?

Anyway, thanks a million times for your Wondefull work on SilentPatch, Silent! Keep up the great work!

Hi. This may sound like a stupid question but did anyone else get stuck after the intro (and before the main menu can show up) on the retail disc version after installing SilentPatch? All I did was dragging everything besides the readme file from the archive, as well as the DDraw component into the game directory. The only other mod I have is the widescreen fix. I tried on both Windows 7 and 10 and got stuck on both systems.

You could always edit the timecyc.dat & change Illumination to 0.0 that should do the trick as well.

I love you, It worked! Thanks a lot.

Got 2 bugs :

1) The cursor lines on the map don't follow the cursor all the way to the left on high resolutions. Mentioned this before, but I don't think I got an answer.

2) Special outfits get replaced by previous normal outfits, if the player tries on clothes, gets wasted or busted.

I installed the silent patch to fix the widescreen issue for GTA SA. It now has widescreen but the map and the menu looks stretched out, any way I can fix this? Please help me!

And btw thanks to the guy who made this, it's f*cking amazing.

Silent Patch adds higher resolutions, it doesn't fix the widescreen. You need Widescreen Fix by ThirteenAG for that.

When I added the widescreen fix you mentioned, the game didn't open.

I uninstalled and reinstalled it totally, installed the widescreen fix carefully, and then copied the silents asi loader into the files too. It worked.

But when I copy silentpatch files, the game doesn't open at all, any idea? I really don't want to miss out on the silentpatch. I want both of them.

Are you sure you're using a 1.0 hoodlum.exe (since it's the most compatible for modding)?

Where can I install it?

Oh nvm, it's the main file? I'm not sure how can I check?

I found a exe file named "GTA_SA.EXE" I downloaded it and copied it to my game folder. And opened it, it worked, then I installed the silent patch(the two files) and it didn't open.

Any help ?

Now I removed the silent patch files and it works again...

I'd suggest downloading SAMP and getting the EXE (gta_sa.exe) from there. Also, did you download Widescreen Fix from here (the first zip)?

Yes, the widescreen problem is done, but when I copy and paste the silent patch it doesn't open

I also have the gta_sa.exe now

Try changing the compability settings (properties of the EXE), select Windows Me for example.

How do I change it? I'm on Linux Ubuntu btw

There's two "vobisFile.dll" one from silent patch asi loader and one from widescreen fix, tried both with the silent patch files.

Aaah you didn't mention that. You'd be very lucky if anything works with wine. Don't expect much. The best you can do is set up a VM if you have enough hardware resources.

What do you mean?, I can't run silent patch And widescreen fix at the same time in Linux using WINE?, Dang that sucks man. Does it work well on windows?

I've found the mods don't work well on wine (well, nothing works very good on wine, but those don't work at all). Of course they work well on windows, they were made for windows, the same as SA.
