Anyone else having terrible stuttering with the game running at 200+ fps?

 

The 2DFx limit adjuster FPS limit doesn't seem to work, does Silent Patch overidde it?

Figured it out.

 

Apparently it's windows game explorer causing it to take 100% of CPU time, you just need to rename the .exe.

Silent, make it possible to turn on standard lighting (like without a patch). And so that there are not 6 light sources on the street, but 4. I don't like this lighting with SilentPatch.

You don't like the fact that some light sources don't "disappear" as you travel across the city? lol

It's not about the technical details. The original GTA SA 2005 makes me nostalgic. I can see that the lighting with the patch is different from the clean version. Why add something from yourself when you can just fix some separate bugs?

It was a bug, if at this point you want "nostalgic 2005" then literally play without the patch so you'll have the of broken game it was back then too.

You can add the following fixes to the patch for GTA SA?

 

Parachute Animation Fix

PS2 Parked Cars

PS2 No Aggressive Drivers

Animation Fix (for example, the entrance to the Freeway when you run in front)

Parachute animation is also fixed in SP for a while, so I'm not sure why it is still being requested.

If anyone is interested, there is one modmaker under the nickname DimZet. He made texture patches for GTA 3, VC and SA. These patches restore missing textures (that is, it removes white textures) and also restore the quality of some textures.

Hello @Silent, I can't turn off DirectionalFromSun. (Sun reflexion on peds & cars)

Even if I put -1, 0 or 1 the sun reflexion wouldn't disappear.

 

Can someone help me with this issue please? Thanks!

It doesn't remove it, just changes the behaviour. Vanilla (-1/0) will have it in a static position & applied (1) will have it follow VC behaviour & change according to sun position.

Redistributing mostly open source software is not stealing. And most of the mod creators don't publish their mods with any license, so anybody can redistribute and modify them. They guy who set up the website is a respectable member of the modding community and I believe that any issue with the authors would have been sorted by now. It is just uncomparably better than any other sketchy GTA modding website out there.

I didn't find anything, unfortunately.

You could always edit the timecyc.dat & change Illumination to 0.0 that should do the trick as well.

Uhm.. How is this a "Issue" If this is supposed to be a improvement over the original game?

Hi. This may sound like a stupid question but did anyone else get stuck after the intro (and before the main menu can show up) on the retail disc version after installing SilentPatch? All I did was dragging everything besides the readme file from the archive, as well as the DDraw component into the game directory. The only other mod I have is the widescreen fix. I tried on both Windows 7 and 10 and got stuck on both systems.
