Something else, it is known that when the resolution is high enough, the 2 perpendicular lines on the map, don't follow the cursor all the way to the left side of the map. Has this been discussed (I don't remember) and can it be fixed?

I think thats actually a bug with widescreen fix, not silentpatch-related. I don't think it happened in older versions.

Can anyone help me with using this tool?  When I use the "FontSizeTool.exe" to export the "gta-vc.txt" sheet, the values all display "0".  I want to match (for example) the current size of A to each À Á Â Ä etc.  Is there any way of knowing the current set values? Thanks.

 

Edit: I figured it out, for anyone else wondering:

 

Place "VCFontSizeExport.asi" in the main game folder, then start the game.
A file called "fontsEXP.dat" will be created in the main folder, which contains the font values.

Drag "fontsEXP.dat" into a text editor and change the values where needed, then rename it to "fonts.dat" and place it in the "Grand Theft Auto Vice City\data" folder.

Then place "VCFontSize.asi" in the main folder and play the game, the new values should be in effect.

Now, if anyone knows of a fix for this issue with SA and VC:

As seen closely in the picture, it affects:

íîïòóôöùúûüßñ¿'.

The "í" in VC has an additional issue, where it glitches the bottom if the graphic is touching the bottom line of font sheet.

Another one : The tram makes stops at some point during gameplay, but not when having completed the game (or after unlocking the desert missions probably? I don't know). I remember seeing this on PS2 as well. What do we know about this one? Intentional or bug? Is it scm related?

Never happened to me, trams aren't controlled by scm, only trains do have some scm code

Find a save from an SF mission and follow the (damn) tram. You'll see it stops. I've seen it stop Downtown, towards the SFPD.

Yes, this issue was present in PS2. I used to climb up on the tram and gets 6 stars for fun but suddenly the tram stop itself. I don't know if this issue is present in PC version.

There's a glitch on gta san andreas where if you have the frame limiter turned off and you go to swim in the water, it doesn't work right for some reason.

Hey, @Silent, there seems to be an issue with GTA ViceCity on Windows 7 x64. I don't know if someone else is having this problem...

 

I Installed the game (I have the Steam versions of all GTA 3D Universe games + GTA IV Complete Editon) on my PC, then I replaced the Steam EXE with a No-CD 1.00 patch because I wanted to mod it. When I try to run the game, at the first launch, the game absolutely ALWAYS only starts as a background process taking around 2-3 MB, however, NO WINDOW of the game will appears on screen or on the taskbar at all, as it does this ONLY on the FIRST attempt to run the game. I have every first time to open Task Manager and end the ViceCity process running only in background. After this, on second, third and so on launches game starts normally, until I shutdown my PC. With only VC SilentPatch and the DDraw component installed, the said issue STILL HAPPENS, so appears your mod doesn't address it. Even without any other mods installed, GTA ViceCity on my PC simply get stuck in background, and on the first launch only! I getting this issue on Windows 7 x64, as I don't know about Windows 8.1 or Windows 10...

 

I'm wonder, can you fix it in your Silent Patch for Vice City?

 

@Breezycruze16, GTA ViceCity / San Andreas are designed to run at maximum 30FPS, they're NOT supposed to run (neither of both games) with high FPS and FPS Limiter disabled...

You mean fps gets capped again? Do you have MixSets?

Sorry i'm dev from another project and I know how difficult it is for people to propose things like me without knowing.

 

I don't mean that, but the sound of prostitutes, like ps2.

Prostitutes on PC don't moan, on PS2 they do. I am not referring to the bug that prostitutes do not get into the car.
