How low is dynamic ambient light within that timecyc?  If it's anything close to VC's values that is probably the issue.

Is there a way I can edit this?

You can with notepad(++), or use an in-game timecyc editor to see changes you make while playing.

I just found out the problem. The illumination is too low. I can fix this with timecyc editor, but I have to adjust it on ever single time and weather, is there a faster way I could save the illumination across all of them?

Well not to sound negative but it seems like the chosen ENB you have is causing a conflict, so you should ask the maker of that to see what the issue is, SilentPatch does work with graphic mods but if a graphics mod messes up or creates a conflict then it isn't Silent's fault, either play the game with a different ENB config, ask this ENB maker to fix his issue or play without SilentPatch.

I already stated that this is not the case. ENB it's self is the issue, I've used a vanilla preset ENB with no shaders or modifications. I've even tested older ENB versions in different combinations of trying older SP versions, as well as game versions. Nothing has solved the issue.

And since there doesn't seem to be an interest or effort in figuring out and solving this issue, I guess I'll just give up and remove my GTA SA. I don't want to bother devs with issues that other people could potentially have and have them figure it out for future references, especially if staff members are going to intentionally ignore my posts and suggest things like "play without mods, go play a different game", that's an extremely poor reflection of this site. Sad to say, but you shouldn't be a staff member.

SP for San Andreas is out for 4 years and you are the first person to have reported something like this - but you seem to go all defensive on advices targeted towards checking if the issue really is a conflict.

Daily reminder this is a product you didn't have to pay for at all, I am not sure why do you seem to expect the same level of support as professional products do (though actually my support could be considered better, as in the case of commercial software I guess the best you'd receive would be a "thank you for getting in touch, we will look into your issue" generic reply).

I told you your options, two of them results in you still playing the game, may I remind you that there's thousands of different ENB config out there, it's just simply a lot easier to ask the ENB config maker to see where a possible conflict is instead of asking here to fix an issue that's literally a needle in a haystack. Sorry we're not bending over backwards to fix other people's issues.

PS: we're not ignoring your posts either, if we were we wouldn't bother to even answer you.

I allowed him to respond multiple times in a derogatory manner dismissing the issue and proposing an irrational solution. I'm well aware SP and ENB may not have a conflict but whatever is different about my game or resources is causing this conflict to happen. I'm not hard set on playing the game, I just wanted to experience it with graphic mods. Therefor this wasn't me begging for it to be fixed, I was willing and did do my best to help potentially solve the issue and figure out what it was. You, or him appear unwilling to accept my help, so I deleted my game.

You can act passive aggressive towards me, a random community member for finally responding to someone's dismissal of my issue despite my doing my best to provide all the information I can to help you help me. I'm not sitting here saying "This mod doesn't work fix it" I'm saying exactly what it's conflicting with for me, and providing information on the environment I'm running it in. Now you can have whatever opinion you want of me, or how I've came about trying to contact you to solve this issue, but do not mistake my willingness to help solve this issue as desperation. I am in no way reliant on you, as I know I could just wipe my windows and reinstall then it'll probably work no problem. However I'm just not that interested in playing the game with these mods to do that, however I was interested enough in solving this specific issue that I continued to provide you information and ask for help.

Thanks for responding, but you can move on and ignore this issue if you want. I'm still interested in what could potentially be the problem, but I'm not going to engage with this sort of behavior.

OK but serious question, have you asked the person who made that specific ENB? As I said, there's thousands of different ENB configs loading all sorts of different shaders and what not, simply saying here that there's an issue with ENB is literally, again as I said, asking him to look for a needle in a haystack. You'd get a much quicker response asking the person who made the ENB config you're using and seeing if they can sort the conflict instead. May I remind you that you've not even listed or linked WHAT ENB you're using, you said the latest one, latest one by who? I'm not sure if you understand how much of a vast broad range that covers so it's not really helpful at all.

Also, "I allowed him to respond multiple times in a derogatory manner", maybe I came off as harsh, but not derogatory, get your head out of your own entitled ass and go ask the person who made the ENB config instead of expecting us to just sort their problems out for you. (now that's a little derogatory)

again, the original enb I used was directX 2.0  enb.

I removed all my shaders, tried again same issue.

Remo enb, installed enb again but with the default settings. Same issue.  To clarify... ENB from enb website not directx. ENB it's self with no modifications causes this issue.

Can you tell me please how to change the subtitles size to the original release?

It is very well indicated in the Ini, it only reads what each ini line does.
SmallSteamTexts = 1 (for the original size change the 1, for a 0)

Hello there,

I wonder if anyone is still active in this community (cuz i recently got back to San Andreas xd).

I wanna ask something, I tried to use Normal Map plugin made by DK22Pac, but it seems to be not working if I got the SilentPatch running. But, the problem is... My laptop cannot seem to can enable DirectPlay so that's why I use your patch. Do you have any solution?

(EDIT : It seems like the community is still in fact active lol. Didn't expect that.)

@Silent: Any chances for an MP2 SilentPatch? Apparently, on the PS2 version, the "voice events" system used for AI characters works on Max as well.
I was watching a PS2 gameplay video one day (just for graphics and HUD comparison), and suddenly I heard Max go "Ugh!" when he was hit by a bullet.

You most likely don't know about the "voice events" system so I'll provide an explanation:
The "voice events" system is a new thing Remedy implemented in MP2 to (probably) avoid having a hard-to-change voice set for each character unlike MP1.

In MP1, the game plays the enemies' "get damage" sounds by the audio-playing commands of "get damage" animations defined in each skin's .txt file's "animation modifiers" block.
There are many characters with voice sets in that game, and who would go out editing all those files.

However, the "voice events" system in MP2 is simple, independent of animation code and allows you to set which action to perform for each damage type rather easily.
All you need to do is open "voiceEvents_*CharacterName*.h" in the game files and just set the commands.

Any skins that use one of these "voice events" will have an "#include <..\voiceEvents_*CharacterName*.h>" in their configuration .txt file.
Note that "*CharacterName*" is a placeholder, each "voice event" file will have the name of the character it's associated to in it's file name.

But, (I believe) this feature is bugged (or at the very least, disabled) on the PC version as Max can get shot to death without even making a single sound.
Hell, the commands defined are not even triggered when the "voice event" occurs while playing as a skin with defined "voice events".

And yes, I know the death sounds work correctly. BUT the death sounds are set in Max's skins' "OnDeath" block, where you can set which commands to send upon this event.
Now that the documentation is complete (hopefully), you should look into the game's EXE and see if you can fix this or any other possible bugs lurking about in there.

HOWEVER, this is just a suggestion, not a request.
You can also seek help from ThirteenAG in this case, he managed to crack the MP2 EXE for his Widescreen Fix mod.

True Fact: I had this saved as a draft on Notepad for days (since the 8th of August, hehehe)...

It is supposed to be disabled unless you enabled it from the INI file.

I'm not sure we understand each other. I talked about these changes as in the screenshot: the machine appears to glow. Top before, bottom after.

That was added years ago though. You can "revert" it by manually setting illumination multiplier in timecyc.dat to 0.

Hello, im new to the GTA Community, i have retail version 1.01, and i would really appreciate if you could update that to support  1.01, When i try to launch my game it says that SilentPatch doesnt support 1.01, if there is some update/other Patch of some kind to fix many of the bugs, please link that to me, thanks.

There is no reason to use 1.01 as Silentpatch already backports most if not all fixes from 1.01. I would recommend either reinstalling or just using 1.0 exe.

OK, I changed at the end of each line three numbers to 0 in timecyc.dat. should be like this?
https://ibb.co/dJbHsp
Although the game remains the same, maybe it was a little bit darker, but completely turn off the function failed.
p.s. although I have found that in the timecyc.dat line illumination is not signed and is read as 0, maybe it's the timecycp.dat?
