Try to place Silentpatch in the root folder instead of in the script folder.

It worked for me when I was placing it in the root instead.

 

Edit: Don't remember what it says in the read me. If it's script folder or root or maybe both. But test the one you haven't.

You didn't even specify what SA version you're using. Technically it could be an issue with one of the EXEs, but since you didn't specify I have no idea.

Is SA really problematic on W10? My cousin had W10 laptop and his SA kept crashing like 15 in one row. Although I installed that DirectPlay thing or something.

Weird. Windows 10 here and everything running fine, even GTA3 and VC.

Updated my Widescreen Fix files, and now I get this when I start the game:

But the actual game works fine, and so does the Widescreen Fix.

Re-download the silentpatch and eliminate at all costs the modupdater.asi, because it has an error because it also updates the silentpatch and turns out to be practically the silenpatch.asi that literally in 0 kb, I already suffered this error and it is enough to revise the modupdater window, in a nutshell it does not update anything and only makes things worse.

I would like to know how this happens exactly, because I just tried to update the latest version to itself and it worked fine. Or you mean widescreen fix updated, but SP became 0kb after that?

It's kinda weird. It'll randomly say SP has received an update and if you do that it replaces SP with a 0kb asi with the same name so I just opted for checking from time to time and update manually.

the modupdater.asi in your widescreenfixes pack did it with the gtagarage stable release (not the test version that was around back then), I haven't tried it since but I'll see what happens now.

Well, gtagarage version had hardcoded url to gtagarage to update, so it can't really update to new version now, unless the ini file is configured to new version.

I just checked the old SP.asi, updater said there's nothing, so no idea what update was triggered and how.

Not saying updater is not at fault, but weird issue still.

I seem to be having some trouble with Silent Patch and GInput. I've followed the instructions from the readme files but they don't seem to be doing anything. I'm not getting any crashes or error messages, however I'm not seeing any effects of the mods either. I'm using version 1.0 of the game (verified by going to the game's Readme file) straight off the DVD.

 

I've placed the zip files for "silents_asi_loader_13" "SilentPatchSA" and "GInputSA" in my game directory (the same directory as the gta_sa executable) and confirmed the replacement of the two .dll files required by the ASI Loader. I've also tried launching the game normally, as administrator, in compatibility mode and from both the shortcut and the executable in the game directory. I've also tried deleting the "San Andreas User Files" found in the documents directory and relaunching. As far as I can tell, no mods are being applied at all. I've searched all over and nobody seems to be having this issue so I'm thinking I'm missing something very simple.

I'm on Windows 10, using version 1.0 of the game from the DVD and an old wired Xbox 360 controller. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

@guru_guru Thank you so much, that was exactly it! I used a no-DVD executable from GameBurnWorld instead but it works perfectly now. Hopefully this will help any future users that come across this problem trying to mod a fresh install of SA off the disc.

that "update", only makes the weight of the SP.asi literally remain at 0, so that there is no code, source, commands or what to boot the patch obviously the game will end up throwing error and not load the patch because literally there is nothing in the SP.asi.

Not right now - but I've been getting more requests for this over time, so I'll probably take a look at it as some point.

 

Right now I am in the process of working on CRC2005 which may end up being the first "official SilentPatch", and more stuff planned after that's done... Fixing that game sure was worth it!

Hmm I'm not sure why the SA version isn't working for me. This is what I've done to install this:

 

1. I have version 2.0 so I used the downgrader from the SA-MP website to downgrade to 1.0

 

2. Downloaded the ASI Loader from your website and placed the 2 vorbis files in the SA directory.

 

3. Downloaded the SilentPatch and places the 2 files in the SA directory.

 

4. Start SA but notice I can't select 1920x1080 and I don't notice any of the fixes ingame.

 

Is there something I've done wrong? Thanks.

Try installing CLEO, in some cases it has worked for me

Someone asked here about restoring light glows under fire in SA that is present on PS2.

I want to ask again - is this possible and/or planned? You've restored light glows under different pickups in gta3 so that's why I'm asking for this here

It should be possible, in fact the effect is in the game when you release a flare with the Hydra or fire the rocket launcher

Woop! It took a while, but a new public beta release of SP for Bully is out!

 

Mind you, crashes will may and will occur – however, now they should be even less frequent.

 

Changes in this build:

  • Shipped an updated MiniDumper, solving issues where it would “overreact” and produce plenty of .dmp files for no reason.

Maybe you're already know, but anyway I'll say: found a bug with mirrors. Some black vertical line appears when you looking at mirror.
