Please re-read my post carefully, I don't need any solutions like those. I don't need any help because I haven't any problem in my game. Silent asked to test new build and I gave him feedback. That's all. ;)

Paintjobs are impossible for vehicles like ZR-350, because their files are named with numbers, like "zr350". Note that have a number at end, so we can't put our paintjob number (like zr3501.txd). The game don't understand it.

 

Maybe isn't for SilentPatch, but anyway several modders pass here imagining find bug reports and they may want to fix this.

My system language is en-US, my keyboard is (was) configured as es-ES, my system region was configured as UK, and I played the game in English. The only thing that made hookers come near my car was changing my keyboard layout to en-US.

The only thing that made hookers come near my car was changing my keyboard layout to en-US.

If I remember correctly, game simply gets keyboard layout code, checks value from right column of this table

And if it's 3, registers region as Australian. Apparently es-ES also satisfies this condition. I remember that unlike other language checks this was ambiguous, but didn't know that spanish keyboard layout also causes hooker censorship.

I try to use en-GB wherever I can, but Windows 7 does not support it (Windows 8 and later versions do, though) so I have to fall back to en-US as a display language. I keep UK as my region because of the date format, mainly (mm/dd/yy makes no sense to me).

 

I need es-ES as a keyboard because, well, it's my language and I need the accented keys.

Checking the current keyboard layout in order to censor the game is just so wrong. But I like the main idea. IMHO, this should be left in, but changed to checking the Windows UI language or Regional format settings. Of course, with an optional variable inside the INI which will remove all censorship altogether.

Actually, keyboard layout isn't the only criterion of whether game is censored or not. System and user default locale also shouldn't be set to german/french/"australian" to avoid any kind of censorship.

I think of this simple way: just recode to make the game recognize only the last number of the file name, no matter which number before it; for e.g zr3501.txd, zr3502.txd,... - bordered numbers are our objects.

Additionally, in future if OLA or FLA allows us to add more custom paintjobs (not sure if current version of them already carry this feature), so we should reconfigure to make the game recognize the last 2,3,4... numbers for paintjobs from 10th+, via ini(?)

Why doesn't this work for III? I did everything multiple times and did it using different methods drag drop, extract etc. and it doesn't work. I installed an ASI loader, but apperently III and VC load those them selves. Is my save game bugging it or am I doing something wrong? I have the 1.1 steam version.

There seems to be yet another bugged behavior affecting a set of opcodes in both III and VC. 047B, 047C, and 037E use the function CBulletInfo::TestForSniperBullet (0x558D40 in III, 0x5C3B20 in VC). The function should be detecting if a sniper bullet is within (x > lowerX && x lowerY && y lowerZ && z lowerX && y > lowerY && z > lowerZ).

 

The sniper bullet detection is only used once during Autocide in VC so players won't normally experience this bugged behavior. If you shoot a sniper rifle at the people on the billboard or on the boat and miss the shot, they both perform a ducking animation. With this bugged behavior, the bullet only needs to be in the +x/+y/+z direction of the person and it will make them duck even if the bullet is nowhere near them.

Not quite a bug but can you try to import that effect from GTA 3 and VC to SA ?

The one when you skip a cutscene
You know the screen goes slowly black but in SA it goes to fast

Hi, is it possible to disable BackFace culling in your plugin? I noticed that without your plug is disconnected "partially" and your plug-in it is on , and which is not properly displayed weapons model of PS2 version of GTA VC.

I do not know, I did not edit the model. But without Silent Patch model is displayed correctly.

It's literally missing the weapon icon on the top right corner. Also I never had any issue with weapon models screwing up when using silent patch.

This model uses Backface Culling, but for some reason no Silent Patch it is displayed correctly, I would like to know whether it is possible to disable Silent Patch Backface Culling.

 

P.S Icons in the archives of the game was not.
