escalators only works ABOVE 60 FPS, It doesn't work at 30 FPS (which is even a bit ironic, eh?).

Yeah no need for that anymore, SP fixed every mouse related issues.

 

 


 

It feels so damn good to be able to drive around SA with a high streaming memory without having to worry about flashing artifacts and floating half-peds.

 

You folks (app and Silent) saved this game from it's imminent death, and I can't ever thank you guys enough for that :D

Although this is quite a feature and even is a speedrun strat, this is obviously a severe bug. If replay is activated while player is in active animation state (sprint jump landing, punch, gun aiming) together with jump keypress, blend animation value is assigned to 127 when replay is over. This results in a drastic increase of player's speed :D

Quite fun but the repolays are such a sh*tshow so I'm not interested in fixing anything from those unless it's a crash ;)

 

I fully understand your point, however if you are ever going to touch that sh*t, you can use the fact that the source of glitch is in function CReplay::RetrieveDetailedPedAnimation (0x594760 in 1.1, 0x5944B0 in 1.0), as before calling CAnimBlendAssociation::SetBlend R* forgot to divide stored blend amount by 127.5 :/

The sky of GTA SA flickers slightly, someone noticed that? I especially HATE IT.

 

I don't know, gives a sense of buggy game, sloppy.

 

The numbers on screen are sky colors, don't have much to explain, the ints changing randomly explain everything.

Yeah, I have it too, just noticed it. I play on 800x600x32 and it's not really noticeable at all, but the more you up the resolution, the crazier it gets.

 

What mods are you running? Is this a clean game issue too?

I have noticed this before, but never thought it's a bug? sky colors changes between timecycles, say if 7 am are set to 100 100 100 and 8 am to 200 200 200, at 7:30 your sky colors will be 150 150 150

yeah happens to me too but not really noticable on 800x600 res but ive sometime changing the camera angle makes the sky color change completely to the bottom sky color

Yes.

 

 


 

Another, but less important thing (important to me, because of my mods) is that the underline char doesn't work. It appears to be a bug, because it is in game font, even in "data\font.dat" we can see the underline, but when we try to use 'underline' in-game it changes to 'space'.

I guess this post was about it, but the pictures got corrupted, so...

 

 

Porting back VCSPC fixes, more specifically the one donated by from ImVehFt:

I have noticed this happening with ambient lighting as well, at around 12 am~1 am in some weathers it flickers just like the sky in that video.

 

Maybe making these values and transitions floating point compatible would make it look smoother?

Exactly. I believe that almost all timecyc values have this problem, but the sky is more noticeable.

@Silent I am getting streaming bug in gta sa,yes I only get this bug sometime(rarely).but please remove this bug completely.

If you mean the artifacts, those can't happen anymore. But if you mean textures dissapearing because you're running out of streaming memory - SilentPatch never touched that so you still need a different mod expanding max used streaming memory cap.

Nice showing off this bug. In MTA it is especially noticable if game time is stopped. Most likely the weather has its own lower-resolution timer or something.

 

Would like to see it fixed.

 

(Maybe I am thinking of a different issue, but "flickering sky" is definitely an argument connecting both).

That looks like some kind of broken Driver/GPU related issue, unlikely to be a game bug.

Either way, I tested older SP from June and peds are walking like Jack the Ripper sliced them in half and still not feeling any pain.

Tested the latest SP, Jack the Ripper is dead. It could be GPU driver related or by some mods.

 

Now we only need a much better map editor, after like 1000 years. Hopefully there will be one before I die.
