I have a few questions to you about ViceCity:

Ugh, I haven't managed to reproduce any of those.

OK. I've was used Pizzadox Trainer with Vice City before, and seems it might be culprit for those crashes on my side (I've stopped using it about two years ago). But anything about Fort Baxter's MUCH aggressive military soldiers towards you issue? :miranda: I think @nkjellman was also mentioned this somewhere earlier in your thread...

Not sure if it's just me, but the latest version of the patch keeps crashing the game (both original and SA-MP). Could you look into this?

Are the da*n annoying bug fixed when you climb on something and you suddenly die?

If it's not fixed it would be really nice to have it fixed.

I was having a huge war against cops once and I was just climbing over a wall or something and I died instead of hundreds of dangerous cops xD. The wall was apparently more dangerous..

What EXE are you using?

If you diddn't do anything to modify the EXE then you must be using the latest. If you have steam then you're using the horrendous December patch and if using retail it's probably version 1.1

Neither of these are recommended (especially the December patch) so use this downgrader here to get it to version 1.0, it should work fine then.

It's not at a specific place.

It can happen everywhere.

And it happens randomly. But pretty often for me.

It happened to me a lot when I tried to climb on top of Sweet's house to get to the Hydra.

And again, all of you: did you had frame limiter enabled or not?

Otherwise it's a non-issue.

Off. I'm always having it off. It dosen't feels the game runs so smooth with it on.

Even if I'm having a computer who's over the requerments.

The Frame Latency in the in-game frame limiter is completely messed up, that's why it doesn't feel smooth.

It should be at a constant 33.3ms but for some reason it goes all over the place, sometimes going up to 40ms and all the way down to 20ms, this makes the game feel laggy even though the framerate is always at 30fps.

If you have a Nvidia card disable the in-game frame limiter and force "Adaptive Vsync (Half Refresh Rate)" in the Nvdia control panel, this will lock the game at 30fps without any frame latency issues.

Have anyone tried Rivatuner Statistics Server for limiting frame rate? It's part of MSI Afterburner, but it can be downloaded separately

People claim it's the best frame limiter application around, and I've been using for some time in many games and it does a good job, despite putting an extra load on the CPU... I have a 3rd gen i5 and it uses around 10-15% more processing power in-game.

Well if you're sure you have version 1.0, thenI don't know. Works fine for me and a lot of other people I presume.

Silent, are you interested on resolving some FPS limit related bugs for GTAIII?

No problems here tbh.

Are you on W10? I read that might have something to do with stuttering.

Yes I'm on W10, but I had this exact same problem on Windows 7 too, so it's definitely not an OS issue.

I'm not the only one having problems with the in-game frame limiter, some other people were also having a laggy experience with the frame limiter on.

Silent even tried to improve it a while back, but it didn't really solve the problem.

Hey, Silent...

I'm wonder if you can make these included in your SilentPatch:

  1. Make FPS Limiter for all three games to also include option to cap FPS to 25, 30, 50 or 60 frames per second like you and @Ash had done in Vice City Stories PC Edition that was unfortunately abandoned about 1 year and half ago?
  2. Option for various filters in all three games, like black and White, sepia, negative, grunge, vintage, etc;
  3. I'm not sure if you can do this via your ASI SilentPatch for San Andreas, but can make the skycolor in GTA 3D Universe Los Santos in San Andreas and around it in the time-interval 20:00 - 00:00 to be properly dark. I don't know if you're has noticed, but currently about between 21:00 through around 23:55 the night sky in Los Santos is UNUSUAL BRIGHT (about 21:30 sky is stills pretty light orange, and in interval about 22:00 and 23:00 sky is somewhat in light-medium color between gray and blue. This strange thing was also present in GTA V where Los Santos from GTA HD Universe had suffered by same issue where around 21:00 - 23:55 the sky was also rendered with black clouds and a bright-gray sky! R* appears to has fixed this in GTA V because since about 1-2 patches ago the sky in Los Santos in my game is now properly dark with stars instead of being weird bright with dark clouds! On both games (GTA San Andreas' Los Santos and GTA V's Los Santos before the fixed timecycle from R*) the sky becomes properly dark only after about 23:55;
  4. Adding an option in your SilentPatch for all three 3D era games to play them in Windowed Mode and Borderless Mode. Many of later games like Saints Row IV, Saints Row Gat Out of Hell and GTA V from GTA HD Universe have that option available, but all GTA 3D Universe games totally lacks any kind of Windowed mode support and stills work only in fullscreen mode! I suggest this because Windowed Mode / Borderless modes will let the fans to play their GTA III / Vice City / San Andreas in Windowed mode at resolutions smaller than the monitor's native resolution without stretching the game's image like hell that could happen on fullscreen mode;
  5. Adding Aspect Ratio option for all three 3D era games to set screen at 4:3, 5:4, 16:9, 16:10 and 21:9. GTA IV, GTA EFLC and GTA V have this already in their graphic options;
  6. Can you include or implement somehow the Black Road Fix made by @DK2Pac in your SilentPatch for San Andreas? I mean this: http://gtaforums.com/topic/763402-sarelfinally-black-roads-fix/.
