BTW Silent do the III/VC versions contain any main.scm fixes? I assume they don't since there is no toggle?

1.1 for III/VC released! Ships new fixes and, what's more important, fixes bugs introduced by 1.0

 

For III:

 

• Mouse will not go beyond the game rect now, allowing to play the game on multimonitor setups without problems
• In 1.0, armour cheat is now TORTOISE - just like in 1.1 and Steam versions
• In 1.0, BOOOOORING cheat now works properly - just like in 1.1 and Steam versions

VC:

 

• Mouse should not lock up randomly when exiting the menu on newer systems anymore

 

 

 

What about the Billie Jean song in VC intro? Is fixed?

Silent have you considered to put bink intros into GTA 3&VC? I know you said 3&VC load asi mods a bit later, but when you released Ddraw component you can do something similar to bink videos. And there is not sh*t tons of exes like San Andreas has .

Just a suggestion. Is it hard to force GTA III not to use txd.img at all? I mean, even to prevent the game from generating it. Would be a nice feature to have in SP.

Otherwise I don't know why you're asking such a question but for me it does work.

The supported EXE are also mentioned in the readme txt file.

Solved! Moved the SilentPatch for modloader.

Modloader is a horny.

I have a very weird bug happening in the mission Sweet's girl. 90% of the time the camera doesn't switch to Sweet so I see CJ talking on the phone rather than Sweet covering himself. Happens on clean install as well.

Frame Limiter doesn't fix this either.

I would bet on this being a bug caused by framedelay=0. The same thing happens on Mountain Cloud Boys.

eh, but I'm pretty sure PS2 didn't have this f*cked up timedelay.

They probably introduced that frame delay in PAL version of the game which had to push only what, 50 frames per second? While in USA, the NTSC version runs at 60 fps. Obviously, divide the number by two, because interlacing.

PS. Maybe that's why some subroutines run fine at 60 fps on PC?

Yes it is indeed timing issue. WIth FL On there is much higher chance of it working.

Man, that's awesome job! Not much people now involved in coding for III/VC. Especially liked these items:

• If the settings file is absent, the game will now default to your desktop resolution instead of 640x480x16
• Mouse should not lock up randomly when exiting the menu on newer systems anymore

Hey Silent, I have a question, and it might be dumb. I'm not greatly familiar with San Andreas on PC, but do you have any plans on addressing the wonky damage system in the game via SilentPatch? For example, when you hit the back of a car with the front of your car, the front of the car you hit somehow takes damage. This issue seems exclusive to the PC version, unless Android copied it too. Considering your wizardry, perhaps this might be an issue worth tackling.

 

Not that I'm demanding or implying you do it, but seeing as you've fixed a lot with the game, I wondered if that was also on the to-do list.
