LINK/2012, so I need to take a pix frame at the moment when lens flare should be appeared ? For example, after starting new game, there should be lens flare at morning.

 

Update:

So I did a frame, where lens flare should appear I think, 39 mb file, will upload it on mediafire and post a link as soon as file be uploaded.

God, these frames are useless when being inspected on a different PC... that would actually need to be checked remotely, via TeamViewer or something :/

I will help you, but I don't have my AMD PC available right now, and Intel card (GMA 256, I know is a s*it) should work? On it the lens flare doesn't appears too.

Also do note it's better to test this without p2dfx or any DK's im** (imfx/imvehft) mod installed.

 

I'll bake another test version in a while, curious if it's really caused by sprite buffering...

I have a clean installation. Probably only Modloader, SilentPatch and SkyGfx. :D

The issue doesn't happen on my ancient ATI-based notebook :( Won't be that easy to check if I fixed it.

How old? Which card and driver version?

A lot of breakups happens during time1. And sometimes it's just about replacing dlls :s

ATI Radeon Xpress 200M with drivers probably older than @lil weasel.

GTA SA BUG: Player has Chainsaw --> walks over dropped Nitestick from Police Ped --> has Nitestick (without pressing TAB)

 

tested in vanilla GTA Sa with Silents patch & private TC

Silent and I have been debugging the lens flare with inadequate yesterday but still couldn't figure out the issue. When you remove the texture you can see the geometry being rendered and even with a completely white texture you see it but as soon as you try to use a proper texture it just disappears :/

maybe something with alpha channel rendering? (cause blank white works?)

The same texture is being applied to sun glow and this one works fine - pretty weird.

R* didn't call a function that initialized some values in the lens flare mesh. For some reason it still worked with some hardware but not with others. Good thing LORD @Silent caught that mistake :)

Praise @Silent!!!
