Collectors Edition Cars

People that obtained them illegitimately, do they still have them?

 

(I'm wondering this because many people paid $200 for their Collector's Edition, and a bunch of vehicles were removed from their garages, ex. RatLoader, Police Vehicles. So I'm wondering if CE cars were removed as well. To me this should've been the first priority before the other vehicles, a lot of supporters paid extra money for these only to have other players gain them by glitching)

They're not the first company to have a CE debacle....almost every Ubisoft CE is a piece of trash especially when the parts are digital.

The CE vehicles are obviously trash lol, but I mean the people that bought it, all they got were those cars and character customization options (probably the only reason to get it). I mean I doubt anyone really bought the CE for the hat and the map...

 

But I'm just wondering if R* ever removed the the cars from people's garages. I feel bad for anyone that bought the CE edition only to have a bunch of cheap players steal the vehicles. (I bought the CE to support them, since I own every GTA title but never had a CE version)

since you got all that, was the experience cheapened with the introduction of cash cards?

I will say that I had someone who had the C.E. dupe me a Khamelion a few months ago but I got rid of it within a week. I see no purpose of keeping them, for people who have the S.E. as I do or just the standard edition. It doesn't appear in the garage as a vehicle, it's an invisible space, and is also just a waste of a space for a vehicle that you can buy off a website, put in that same space, and have it actually be there in the flesh.

 

Also, not being able to drive it into the garage because you're missing the necessary C.E. add on's was annoying.

 

On top of the fact, I have friends who bought the C.E. and wasted actual money on those vehicles and I got one of them for free, that's not a cool thing to do for people who actually spent their hard earned money for something that people are now getting for free.

Yeah I feel bad that other people get the same items as other people. it doesnt really effect you anyway its not like the cars are worth using in a race. is being greedy on aesthetics really that big a deal to you that it makes you feel bad? thats pathetic.

having premium things that other players cant have is not cool,

like when gears of war 2 had gold shotguns for I cannot recall,

collectors edition should be just that,

things included with the purchase that should remain collectable,

digital assets are not collectable,

im sure the hat, bag and blue print were worth the price along,

but not hoarding extra weapons and vehicles

I'm not referring to the vehicles themselves being trash though. Since the inception of dlc they have included some sort of incentive or collectible and every time the general pop has gotten ahold of them just look at Capcom.

I also bought cash cards to support them day one, I bought the 400k house and an infernus which I think was 440k (so 840k total), then the same day it said everyone "left the session", so I rejoined a different lobby and what do you know - I lost the car, the apartment, and the money. I contacted R*, and in 2 weeks all I got from them were questions asking for my gamertag, asking for pictures (how am I supposed to have pictures of something I didn't plan), never got an apology, never got an offer to refund my real money, never got the ingame cash money back, instead had to do a Paypal claim and Paypal took the money back from Microsoft. That is what negatively impacted the game for me. But to this day I still support R* 100% and have no hate against them (can call me a true GTAfan ).

 

Anyyyway that's off-topic. To answer your question to my question, I don't like cash cards because they are a "quick microtransaction" where the devs have to do no work to bring in new content (like paid DLC). And do I think it negatively impacts the experience, no, because you're not forced to buy them. I decided to, and that was my choice, I will never buy another just because.

 

But I'm asking this because it's been months, and the CE edition vehicle bug is old, they've already removed other cars. Why haven't they removed these from garages? Or am I wrong and have they already done so.

If they got them the proper illegitimate way they won't lose them....hint. The people that did the glitch...maybe.
