bought a tank and buzzard for my level 110 and my level 6 character then bought 200 z-types to bring my account back to normal. If your half assed aware you can stay away from being gifted money by watching the lobby and switching when necessary.

An easier method is to get on your level 6, and withdraw $10 million at a time via an ATM. Online banking only allows $1 million at a time. Not that it matters now, but good for future reference I suppose.

 

The bank cash is shared between characters, so leaving said money in the level 6's pocket won't share it with your 110.

Had $450k. Killed a bounty and got $100 million. Didn't spend any of it, but R* reset my $ anyways.

Now I'm back up to around $75k. I submitted a request to see if they could refund my $450k. I'm happy I didn't waste any money on cash cards. I would've seriously been mad.

$250,000 or so. Got billions gifted three times now but just quit to dashboard which stops it being saved to the cloud.

 

Fair play if you want to keep it but for me it would totally take away the point of doing missions and other game elements. I'll admit that it's hard to turn your back on it when it first happens but I'd rather have something to play for.

Got the yacht, mansion in the Hills, armored limo. I am down to 25 million. That is near bankruptcy. I post pooned buying the second yacht for my other avatar. At some point R* will come with a discount period. R* did that with all the crap they are selling.

 

One time there was a piracy event in freeroam were you had to board a yacht, kill the body guards and kill the vip. Every would be pirate shot at each other at the assembly area. If everybody in FR stays dumb money making is impossible.
