Dinuity
I've recently only got Grand Theft Auto V and i am already encountering problems with either the game or my Playstation Console. When i first loaded the game for install it was fine and completed really easily. I played the Game for a few hours then quit the game for the time being. I then went to launch the game up only to find that i was stuck on "Loading Story Mode" I left this going for about 10-20 minutes and was not going anywhere. I then restarted my Playstation Console and launched up the game. This time the game didn't load at all. It was a black screen with no text, pictures or sound coming from my monitor. I then restarted my PS3 once again, And then black screen happened again. I have read on a few forum websites and posts about this problem and finding out that i'm not the only to have this problem. This has really made me frustrated due to the long wait that i have had for this game only to find that i'm not getting any more than a loading screen. I've also deleted all my data from "Save Data Utility" and "Game Data Utility" only to then find out that it didn't solve the problem. I've just loaded up the game once again and to no surprise it black screened again. If anyone knows how to fix this it will be very greatly appreciated. Thanks -Dinuity
KeepCalm and CarryGun
I can understand your disappointment, there are probably a lot of people who received either a brand new copy of GTA V, or a PS3 console (or both!) over the holiday period. There is a problem a lot of players have experienced due to the 'holiday gift' from R* which affects loading saved games in single player mode on both PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The current problem allows players to start the game from an existing saved game, but won't let them load from a previous save after they start playing. A couple of questions, is your PS3 online and connected to PSN? After Installing GTA V, did you have to 'ok' software updates in order to play the game? If you did, I suggest signing out from PSN, then trying to start a new game in GTA V again. If you've already deleted your save data, you've nothing to lose. If this doesn't work, remove the 1.08 patch (last update in Game Data Utility) and try it again (again, no PSN sign-in). Good luck mate, I can't reload saves, but I can at least run the game. This is pretty p*ss poor support from R* if players who got the game for Christmas can't actually play it.
