One or more downloadable content packs is missing that is required for

Hey Everyone

 

I am in a terrible state over here trying to get online (xbox360), booted up my gtav, was prompted to install latest update, so I updated, then got a message saying > one or more downloadable content packs is missing that is required for compatibility in GTA Online. Proceed to the Xbox Games Store to download, so I did and saw the beach bum update, erh!!? I have that already lol, so I downloaded it anyway and I still got the same message > one or more downloadable content packs is missing blah blah blah, so I cleared out my system cache, downloaded updates again, had another crack on getting online, still the same message, even tho I have the beach bum downloaded and installed, so went into system settings again ugghrr? only this time went into games and apps and found the beach bum update? and also the latest update, deleted both, switched off console, rebooted, SAME SH*%!!!! wtf is going on??? I even tried going in solo online, still get the same message?

 

Please can someone help me out and tell me how I can get around this very frustrating problem, its really depressing me.

Okay, so anyone reading this that bought the gta 5 through the xbox 360 online marketplace. (Basically you downloaded the game, do not own discs.) READ THIS

 

First off you download the whole game, when you start up the game and it says "missing or corrupt files downloading now" it will take you to a loading screen. If you push the "X" button on your controller, left bumper, then you go to active downloads. It should show 4 installation packs. Now if this is your second attempt+ at reinstalling gta5 they may not show up, maybe only 1 installation pack shows up. Here's how I solved it after like 27+hours of WTF!

 

If you go to account settings it will show a list of recent downloads. Choose to download the gta5 installation packs that you have been trying to download when you start up the game. If they are already installed they will only take about a minute. If they have not, then they will take about an hour to install (shows loading bar). for me the order didn't matter. it said I downloaded the game, and pack 0 and pack 2. I ended up having to reinstall pack 4, and pack 2, now the game finally runs. (the first four packs only installed during the original and first attempt at installation)

 

P.S. If you did not have enough room during your first install, you may need to restart. You cannot play the game with any data that contains a yellow exclamation mark. again, you should check this in the storage settings. game should occupy about 15.6 GB
