"Get a Life" is Stupid.

Please consider not telling fellow people who like video games to "get a life."

 

Among the people present in this forum, there can only be two reasons for each of us to be here. I tend to assume the first reason for each of you, since the second reason is quite strange. And the first reason is that you enjoy spending some portion of the time you are given on this earth (i.e. your life) playing video games, and GTAO in particular.

 

The second possible reason is that you are here just to mess with people who are here for the first reason. However, to be frank, I doubt that motivation could actually persist very long in any real human being before they go somewhere they actually want to be, so it's more likely the second group is actually comprised of a few self-loathing members of the first group.

 

Meaning, everyone of us wants to be playing this game or we wouldn't play it, and everyone of us wants to be in conversation about the game or we wouldn't come here. Really, in light of the kinds of miserable, sustenance-based lives people throughout history have been forced to endure, it's remarkable that we have the option to choose to spend our time playing games and thinking and talking about them.

 

This means that no one here can say another person here doesn't have a life. Not if you actually care whether other people will ever listen to a word you say with any attention and regard (and possibly you don't). Because coming to a GTAO forum to tell a GTAO player to "get a life" only reflects on the person making the pitiful statement. I won't say that person needs to get a life, because they are clearly alive.

 

But I will say that coming to a video game forum to remark on the quality of life of video game players is a very stupid way to live a life.

What made it really special wasn't just the foreseeable (some would say "obvious" but let's be reasonable about this) nature of your comment, but the fact that it's an exact replica (more cynical types might say "boring repeat" but I could never agree with them) of something that has already been said on the same thread.

I don't like that there's a double standard. If you like gaming you have no life but if you like listening to music and watching films all day then that is fine. Also why do "gamers" have to labelled as such? Nobody gives someone who enjoys listen music or watching a lot of films a nickname.

They trying to prove in a words that they have a life and still if someone really doing something that he love in a life, he won't see the word like 'get a life' is really about him, it's just forum to share thought or questions and etc.

if most people keep trolling and say it to everyone seem they busy to harm another people and not more (means they are not doing anything else in a life, just only tell others get a life and being mad about a games).
