Okay, so it was nice to debut these things on Christmas. True.

But.. what about people with lives? I was playing in the morning for a bit, then I was with the family, and some friends for the rest of the day.

Came back, at like 11 pm and it's already gone? The hell was the point of that? Glad I got some pictures.

Shame we don't have any area like Tall Trees in the mountains, or something.

It's more like a punishment for people with families. "YOU OUT SPENDING HOLIDAY TIME? WELL, YOU'RE GONNA MISS OUT ON THE FUN."

I doubt it's gone. It takes my game awhile sometimes to get it. You have to wait for it to say "Holiday Gift downloaded"

People with lives don't play gta online.

Im kind of tired of it after a good few hours.

 

I have streets like that outside my house, its kind of nice to escape to an imaginary hot place and see palm trees and sandy beaches when its 2 outside.

It's not a great loss to the game.. It was a nice idea, but the draw distance seemed terrible and it made the game feel really dark and depressing.. I managed to play for half hour Christmas night once kids had gone to bed, and that half hour was more than enough.. If it really has gone today, I for one am pleased about it.

 

As for rockstar logic.. It wouldn't have been a punishment for those with a "life" but more of a festive treat, if you can even call it that, for those that did manage to get on at some point.

it was on for christmas day everywhere in the world, i know your lying that it was gone at 11 (would of been 12 or more) and that means it was on for almost the whole day beforre christmas for you, stop complaining

Whats the logic in Rockstar not having a CHRISTMAS event not during the week of Christmas because YOU have plans is a better question?

It was a neat "event". Grass is always greener to people. For what it was, it was neat.

 

I personally liked the treatment of it at least for atmospheric perspective. Simple and effective. It was one day.

Dang. I love the snow environment in GTAO. I wished there's a weather option for Invite-Only and Solo Session while random lobby keeps the default weather. I'm not pleased that the snow setting is gone that quick.

My sentiments exactly, getting punished for not playing GTA during f*cking Xmas day.. jesus christ. How hard is it to make it a weekly event so more people get to experience the snow.

I feel ya brah. Worst part is i kind of live like in the east, thus living practically in the f*cking future. I haven't played the last two days, because I was caught up with DayZ and I totally forgot about the snow and how I wanted to take a million selfies in said snow :( Now I missed it and I'm sad.. Oh well, might as well stay in DayZ while all those gay ass stupid f*cking DNS mod servers are up :'(

It wasn't a case of a few individuals having plans. A lot of the player base would have plans. It's Christmas after all.

 

I think it should of have been for this entire week. I did get to sneak on and enjoy a few hours of it and what I played with my mates was so much fun. I'd like to see it come back!

Man my Sabre Turbo with muscle wheels was inbelievable in snow. Races were unpredictable due to noobz and snow. Agree, snow should stay for a week.

 

But then you cant please crowd, its either whinges with -no snow- or other ones -why snow gone-

 

This game is for 18+ gamers, man up bixxches. Crying is for babies.

If you wanted perfomance then a trip LSC and fit off road tyres whould serve you well, is it really that hard to figure out?

 

I had unbelievable fun in muscle car, and yes loosing cop car wasn't easy but satisfaction for doing so ... priceless.

Off-road didn't help at all. Muscle wheels on my Futo worked best.

Well, it was probably only one day because R* anticipated what would happen:

 

They don't do anything, and people say "R* are such scrooges, can't believe they didn't do anything for Christmas!"

 

They leave it longer than a day and people say "f*cking snow is awful, can't race, can't see blah blah blah"

 

So they go halfway, leave it for a day and still get bitched at, on one side for not leaving it up for longer, and others for putting it in at all. Even moaning about how it doesn't leave tracks ffs

 

I really hope R* don't read these forums, cos if I were them and read the bitching on here about even the tiniest stuff, I'd say f*ck the lot of you, count my money and wash my hands of the whole thing.

Well us Australians liked it. Complete opposite to you other guys that live where it snows at Christmas time. Here in australia it's bloody hot, hot, hot!

 

It was nice for a change of weather for once. Where as it's the same inside and out for you guys, unlike us when we play normally.

You should move to someplace that has palm trees and sandy beaches and is hot in December. It's great.
