Snow Gone?

is the snow already gone?? i just got back on gta after not being on for a month and only got to drive in the snow for like an hour, shut off my ps3 then shortly after midnight got back online and the snows gone now...this happening for anybody else? thought it was gonna be snowy at least til January 5th or whenever they said.

Really??? Dagnabit all! I haven't had a chance to play all this week due to me spending time with the girlfriend and her kids since she has them this week.

I stayed in a snow server for hours so that people could have snow after midnight.

After getting bored, I figured I had to have a good memory of the awesome snow, so I took a plane out and took the best, coolest and most professional looking pictures I have ever taken.

 

 

 

After I took em I just stopped and admired them. I went like "Dayum!"

this sucks!! i wasn't one of the people complaining about wanting snow early on after release but now that i had a chance to have some fun with it i really was enjoying it! wish rockstar would let us have some fun every once in a while with out them teasing us all the damn time!

You know what? Next patch Rockstar just need to revamp the snow cheat so that you'll get the entire snow map instead of just only snowflakes.

I was doing a mission with 3 other guy's (stealing the rich guy's car's),they screwed around so I drove away. The one guy (he was a 150) completed it and got $125,000,000.00 (and this only pay's $1250.00). Since then,the snow is gone.

I was just online with a friend of mine 20 minutes ago and I still had snow, but the weird part is he said he didn't see snow anymore and it was all sunny even though we were in the same game. Either way, I'll really miss the snow. It gave me some great memories and it looked beautiful. Oh well, I look forward to next year when the snow returns!

I enjoyed the snow a lot. Started at 1 AM December 25th for me and was still functional at 3 AM on the 26th. But whoever decides these things has made rather mind numbing decisions lately.

 

We get to keep the Christmas outfits until January 5th... But the weather condition (which is not dependent on Christmas) is bound to one single holiday? How about we do it the other way around?!

Well you can always wait for the PC version.
GTA V will have a better snow mod there.
Seriously it seemed like R* just applied a white filter to the map and left really bad seams on the tunnels.

in all honesty it wasn't that great, and i can clearly see why they took it out so fast. There is countless problems with the way the snow effects pop into existence, very noticeable with trees. Sure it did look great, and it was a cool feature, but i was sad to the fact snow wasn't accumulating on the tires or the sides, much like the effect of dirt. There was only the sandking and i think rat loader that you could find driving around with snow on them, and it wasn't very much of it. If they were to add it again, or add it as a random rare weather effect, they still need to polish it allot. Tree trunks had no snow, most buildings, except roofs, it just didn't look quite right.

 

All in all it was pretty fun though for races.

This really sucks, I played when the Snow was on, and people were like, actually digging it. Nowhere near as much pointless killing, and a f*cking rare sight of seeing people in the mountains! Never before have I seen like half the players riding around the mountains in trucks or whatever and seemingly enjoying the scenery outside of LS. And now it's already gone!

They can make a great feature out of this by letting the snow mode on for the whole winter season, every single year. But as far as I've seen Rockstar's been turning their back on other great opportunities for making this game much better than it already is
