The snow was fun for a while, it made me sad to see it go so soon.

 

But it was hard to race or drive around. Not to mention extremely hard to fly and navigate in.

 

Originally I thought it was a stupid idea, but I find that I did enjoy it and it was fun for a change of pace.

 

I'm glad it's gone even though I do miss it a bit.

 

Maybe next time it snow they can get some damn snow plows out to clear the streets! Or add snow chains to the LSC shops!

 

Also wtf were the npcs running around in tShirts and shorts, come on R* at least dress the pedestrians in some winter coats for a day!

What is a DNS switch and why would you prefer it not be utilized?

Changing your consoles network settings to link to online through a different server, usually with modded settings.

 

I linked into one early in the day Christmas Eve that had snow tunables on, but it also had godmode, RP, and $ multipliers up. I had to avoid doing anything that would earn me any kind of points because I didn't want to screw with my accounts record. And the way it sets up, if I'm running a different DNS and link with someone on normal settings, they wouldn't be able to get what I had running.

 

Ie; my roommate tried to join me and couldn't see the snow and was able to die until he changed his DNS as well.

 

If it didn't have other mods in it, I'd be fine with it.

It was fun for a couple of days but I'm glad it's gone, I couldn't drive most of my RWD cars, visibility was awful and I was starting to miss the beautiful/colorful world of SA.

 

Also, it could be difficult to get your bearings, specially while flying, landing a Titan in the middle of the night at Sandy Shores airfield was a bit of a challenge, you couldn't see the runway until you were right on top of it, making the approach, well, interesting.

Yeah. Because we were doing it purely for Futo drifting in the snow, I kept it invite only. I didn't want a random to try and kill me and realize I had GM and get all butthurt or report me. I didn't want to affect anyone's game. However not everyone thinks that way.

They only did it for one day incase people didnt like it. But since it got positive reviews they will look at a more perminent option. At least I hop they do, u was far to drunk yesterday to play so I missed it.
