It Sure is a Mess

Just been online and on all of the 6 servers I tried, at least half of the people were above level 300, at least one had a tank and at least 2 were using god mode. I wish I was exaggerating but I'm not. These are regular severs too, no CP or BS. I feel very sorry for anyone having received the game today a a gift. It must be pretty humbling walking around on Level 8 with attack choppers and tanks whizzing around you.

 

I don't see how this can be fixed. I think I'm done with online. Looking forward to the SP DLC though.

Not much we can do at the moment. Just report the hackers, go to a new session, and wait for the next patch which hopefully will fix some of these issues.

Op - in the last week things have went from sh*t to runny sh*t, best thing to do is go on invite only sessions unless you like being constantly gifted money and playing against near invincible players and having tank battles, it was a bit annoying at first now I find it funny just how ridiculous it has become when I join a random session

 

Tanks in every session

 

Wrecked supercars on every other corner

 

Rank 200+ ~ 400+ ~ 700+ ~ 1000+ is a common sight

 

Huge bounties

That being said invite only sessions can be very good fun still, anything else is so fkd up you've just got to laugh. Most likely r* wanted this to happen. God mode is so common it's became funny, to me at least.

 

the games so full of tanks and 'gods' and billionaires that unless you play invite only sessions u may as well just grief because free roam is now just a battle of money, tanks and terminators with no point, go invite only people.

Wish I could run into one of those, so far the only people I've run across are asshats 60+ levels above me slaughtering while I can't do anything but use a lil peashooter. I finally just turned the game off after repeatedly running into those or "teammates" leaving a job and forcing me to solo it. Damn If I wanted solo play I'll fire up GTA IV or something.

Try switching to free aim. Hackers and tank noobs are not so frequent because there are not as many players as there are in assisted aim servers.

I guess its safe to say that rockstar North should just keep away from the online multiplayer scene because they absolutely suck inverted moose scrotum at managing and balancing them.

 

They failed with keeping the hacking down to a minimum with GTA 4 max payne 3 and now this game that has microtransactions.

On top of that they have no f*cking clue how to properly balance their game.

A.I still has pin point accuracy and broken spawns. I didn't know we were still in the late 90s. I was assuming we would see semi intelligent enemies that didn't rely on cheap bullsh*t to combat the players.

 

This online is a bust. They wont be hitting any record breaking sale anymore now that everyone got at taste at how rockstar will handle online for this gen.

I only play free aim and I'm experiencing the same problems. Gmoders everywhere! Gifted money every time I join a session. Players begging hackers for money etc..

 

All that sh*t doesn't even bother me. I just continue playing like normal. If I run into a "God" then I'll just go into p*ssy mode and leave the area (not the session). Those f*cks can't run me off from session to session. F that. Plus they're in damn near every session anyway so I just ignore them. They hate that more than being killed by tanks

Check the recruitment section ( http://gtaforums.com/forum/275-recruitment/ ) of the forum and hopefully you can find a crew to play some invite only sessions with. I'd hate for new players to have the game ruined and leave because of so many dickless children in god mode everywhere.

I do this a lot. I get insulted by "you can only report a player every few minutes". Pretty shocking that the report system gives me grief..
