DaRkL3AD3R
I've just found out that the core problem is that GTA Online is infested with f*cking teenagers. I don't think hackers would be that much of a problem if they didn't had these mentally-ill packed hordes caring about them. Sorry if anyone feels offended. Teenagers really suck and I can't help myself to hate them when they use goddamn speakers and I hear dat f*cking baby voice ruining my cool online session. So much hate. It's not just teenagers doing the modding and hacking. I met a bunch of mod whores in RDR who were old. I mean real old. Like 45+. Anyone who mods an online game is a f*cking pathetic c*nt. cutter666
Ok, just got off mp.I planned on playing longer but it was so insainly ridiculous with hackers I just couldn't take it anymore. I was on 5 different lobbys tonight and every one of them had multiple people running around in god mode setting 100mil+ bountys on each other. Yeah,They do throw money at you after they kill you but for f*ck sakes I already have over 2billion from these c*nts. What's the fun in running around invincible? Where's the challenge? I see no solution at this point but for R* to shutdown the whole online portion of the game down, whipe everyone back to zero and start all over again. Giving/having unlimited money is one thing. Now there making themselves rank 500 and running around in god mode killing everyone in the lobby then givong them a billon just for the hell of it. Geralt of Rivia
As I predicted, several people have stepped in to claim Modders are only improving the game experience for everyone. I have NEVER seen one time where I felt any modder improved my experience. This is an incredibly insulting and arrogant assumption. Nobody ASKED you to modify my game experience, but these turds just don't give a damn. They feel ENTITLED to do whatever they please, and then come here to lecture everyone and even insinuate that the rest of us should feel GRATITUDE. What about folks who simply want to enjoy the experience the way the developer INTENDED? You aren't going to convince me that modders are any better than hackers. This is something only people in the "mod community" come up with to justify their arrogant belief that they have a god given RIGHT to modify someone elses work. Keep promoting that B.S., while watching how almost EVERY game eventually drowns in this problem. GTAV continues to deteriorate daily, and these same idiots will keep coming here acting as if they aren't part of the problem. Holy f*ck you're stupid. I mean it; you literally have no idea what you're talking about. Unless you're talking about Online only, in which case, everything below is irrelevant. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/?tab=1&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D19%26preview%3D&pUp=1 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4929/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14037/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9557/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26228/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3413/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19281/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/607/?tab=2&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D607&pUp=1 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12866/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13268/? These things don't improve the experience? You literally do not know the difference between modding to help, and modding/hacking to be a douchebag. You are truly ignorant. Guess what? If a company didn't want its game to be modded, it wouldn't allow it. Look at Just Cause 2's new MP mod. Is that not good? Is that not a beneficial thing? Holy sh*t, you literally made me facepalm with your comments. EDIT: SOME OF THE LINKS ARE BROKEN, I DON'T FEEL LIKE FIXING THEM. THEY'RE VERY BENEFICIAL SKYRIM MODS. THAT'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW. ZZCOOL
For all the complaints about the online portion of this game, the worst issue BY FAR is the hackers. Almost every lobby has a hacker, and even those who don't hack are running around asking if anyone can give them a couple of million bucks. I'm always being pestered by other players to let them duplicate vehicles. Nobody wants to do anything that doesn't involve a high RP gain either. Rockstar is TRYING to keep these douchebags from ruining the game, but all I hear are people bitching about everything they do. I said it before, and i'll say it again, hackers, modders, or whatever the F*CK they want to call themselves, are the REAL problem. Mark my words, GTAV is going to become just as bad as GTAIV was online. I GUARANTEE you will see at least several douchebags chime in to lecture everyone about how modders are great, and make your game experience better. 73duster
I'm going to give up going back and forth about this modder vs. hacker garbage, because the issues that are ruining the online are bigger than this. However, before calling people stupid for the audacity to not know the difference between a hacker/modder, try considering THIS directly from Wikipedia: "Modding is a slang expression derived from the verb "Modify". Modding refers to the act of modifying Hardware, Software, or virtually ANYTHING else to perform a function not originally conceived nor intended by the designer". This is in essence, more or less, what Hackers do. This is EXACTLY why many people consider the two virtually the same thing. I don't think I owe anyone an apology for predicting that people would immediately start trying to lecture people over this issue. Calling me stupid because I know how read, and prefer to trust Wikipedia over some "mod" police on this forum is incredibly ignorant. If there IS a difference, it is a difference that people among the "modding community" have taken upon themselves to promote. I'd STILL like to know what anyone has done, hacker OR modder, or whatever the f*ck else you want to call them, to improve everyone's GTAV Online experience? Xerukal
Okay, so if you really want to generalize so f*cking badly, I'll group them all up. Just for you. 1. Cheaters - People using various hacks (Aimbots, wallhacks) or mods (Money modifiers, invincibility) to gain unfair advantages. They are not limited to modifying the game with their own tools, but also manipulating existing elements to suit their selfish needs. 2. Modders on consoles - Modding on an entirely different level from modding on the PC. Usually requires many stops before it is even possible. Like flashing/tagging your console and doing a whole lot of illegal, stupid sh*t to it. 3. Modders on PC - Self-explanatory. Some people will be dicks, most will be very helpful. Like the Nexus mods site. Singleplayer or Multiplayer mods. Irrelevant. As long as they do not upset the core, established gameplay balance, they can be pink fluffy unicorn reskins for the bikes in GTA IV for all I care. As long as they don't shoot rainbows out of their rectums that make them run at rocket speeds (Aka, an unfair advantage). Satisfied now? Since I noticed you enjoy such rough generalizing so much, I dumbed it down for you. Because you clearly aren't capable of accepting the fact that people and groups of people are DIFFERENT and VARYING in their intentions when they use "mods". He was in the middle of the street shooting rockets at everyone. I kept going back and forth, running him over at 100+ Mph every time. And he just kept missing and missing. He kept yelling and raging. It was kinda funny. A few other players eventually joined in on trolling him. He placed million dollar bounties on us but we didn't kill eachother, we just kept annoying him. Felt like world peace. But still, he was an asshole, he deserved to be treated like an asshole, and he deserved to be laughed at by a bunch of assholes. Stuntman--420
As for the modding/hacking argument i'll put in my two cents. When it comes to console gaming, especially the Grand theft auto series, modders are definitely the cheaters. (remember I'm talking about console players) The cheater's or lets call them modders, are usually pretty thick in the head and look on youtube videos or find tutorials on how to "hack" or "mod". The hackers are the ones who are finding these new exploits by the week, as many notice invincibility being more and more common now, because they are all learning the steps from the hackers. Rockstar really does need to do something about this, and it probably wouldn't be hard to make a file checker for edited files. They need to develop an anti cheat system, and for the time being, they should probably just wipe everyone's money out, and make everything free until they can figure out a way to fix this rampant problem ruining the experience for all the legitimate players. Christmas has been the worst for it, its bringing on all the modders/hackers in large numbers, now at the point where every server i join, there is a person with 300+ rank, and making really high bounties etc. I already had 150 million, and then got sent a billion already in many multiples, and throughout a few different servers. Another thing i wonder is why the hell rockstar even left the option "give cash" still in the data files, and even still able to be displayed on our screen but just not enabled. This is probably what enabled them in the first place to send everyone sums of money, yet if they completely remove the feature and all the code contained, wouldn't that stop this money sending problem instantly? Osho
GTA Online has a lot to improve than initially thought. Rockstar, no doubt has an impressive quality team of developers but looking at GTAO currently it does show lack of preparedness or no lessons learned from past online experiences. Otherwise, GTA V is a great game successful pretty much in every aspect. Edited December 26, 2013 by Osho

Christmas has been the worst beecause a new method of exploiting the main weakness in the file set-up went viral a week ago. For the first time players didn't need a jail-broken PS3 to mod their game files, they could just change the DNS settings (cue some of you hitting Google to find out how to do it for yourselves). IMHO at the very least R* need to put the file-in-question back onto the consoles to reduce the amount of modding down to just the jail-broken PS3 owners.
