Bounty time?

So, how long does one have to wait until you survive a bounty placed on you? I just got a billion bounty on me and I'm not gonna let some lazy weed smokers claim me. I'm just gonna sit on my couch in my apartment and drink whisky till it's my money. $$$

You would have to wait 48 minutes to survive the bounty that was placed on you.

You need to be outside or the timer won't go down. Same for LSC. Just go to a solo or invite only session and go about your business as normal. It's 48 minutes (2 minutes per hour - 1 in-game day)

You can't wait out bounties in your property anymore. The timer stops and doesn't start until your in the open world....good luck keeping it....oh, and you can't go into a invite only or friends only session either....it also stops there.

No the timer doesn't stop in solo if your goal is to keep it without interruptions. Or just stay in a regular session, go in a sub dive to about 300 ft and watch the buzzards swarm.

No it doesn't. I was in an invite only session tonight and the message came up saying I had a bounty on me when I left my apartment. Someone did say a couple of days ago that it wouldn't start the bounty on them unless they were in general free roam, but it must have been his issue because it definitely does still work.

I'm not a coward, I'm a poor GTA player who's in a position to make one billion dollar. Thanks for the answers y'all! I'mma try a invite session only. If that doesn't work I'm going down in to the ocean on a public server! Add my gamertag if you wanna watch, or try to kill me, whatever.

Grab a submersible (try the merryweather docks, where the cargobob also spawns though there are other spawn locations) and just stay around 300 feet below the surface. You will be (mostly) completely untouchable, though given you don't have much else to do besides hanging about, going far out would help.

 

Or just get a boat and go miles out, or in a plane/chopper, but when in the air be prepared for missiles, and when at sea be ready for kamikaze planes.

 

Also, sub spawn locations (no guarantee of them spawning, but I've never been without one):

 

 

EDIT: I've never seen one at the Pegasus docks, and there'll be busy, so that one's not a good idea.

Worth mentioning that even without glitching people often end up walking round under water (and being able to use weapons). You're not invulnerable down there - keep your eyes on your radar.

Mine stayed even though I was in private with my wife...I thought it was system wide and not just a fluke....gotta give you this one as I'm not 100% certain.....my bad?

I heard you're not able to avoid bounties in solo anymore, unless that's where you received it.

Actually, I can't confirm they still work in solo since it was an invite session I was in. It'll still have the same effect anyway. I don't get why there are solo sessions when you can just do an invite only and not invite anyone. But I digest.

UPDATE: It worked guys! I survived the bounty placed on me, by just being in an invite session.
