MoldyDragon Posted December 25, 2013 Share Posted December 25, 2013 Hey GTA Forums I just got a PS4 for christmas and i was wondering if there's anyway to to play GTA 5 on it since it seems silly to keep the PS3 up and running for just one game. I planned on playing GTA 5 WELL into the future, but if this is the case I may have to set it down Until today I was under the impression both consoles were backward compatible. It's possible to play PS3 games on it though, if you use Gaikai, but I have no idea how this exactly works and what the requirements are. That's silly, if you own the game and enjoy playing it it souldnt matter what you play it on. I still play a handfull of ps2 games while my ps3 sits right beside it. I'd probably do it, but not very often. Just like GTA may now be a once a week thing for me as opposed to an every day thing (at least once real PS4 games get released, not just upgrades). Also, I'm literally out of spaces on my power strip so I can't just leave two plugged in, which again would be silly regardless. I'm just saying it'd be great if they released GTA Online on the store for the PS4, hell I'd even pay some money for it if all my data transferred. And yes I am willing to pay a one time fee to save myself the hassle of constantly switching consoles. I got my money's worth and then some from my copy of GTA 5. Why buy a next gen title to only play those games and even with that why sell your old system? PS3 has way better games ( Not graphics wise but gameplay wise ) than the PS4. Launch title games are the WORST games for your system. Very few of them are good and the rest is just a garbage rush product on hardware that developers don't know. GTA V isn't available on other consoles than PS3/Xbox 360 as of now and currently it's unknown if it will be. This generation won't really take off until this time next year, when the price has dropped and there's some actual games available.
