Here we go again with someone dictating how everyone should play and enjoy the game. No one gives a f*ck if you've played lots of MMOs and enjoy grinding away for hours, days, years for imaginary digital items. That's you. I for one like to play video games casually. I get zero satisfaction walking my little avatar around my imaginary garage looking at my imaginary super cars. It is not an accomplishment, I play for the distraction and entertainment.

I didn't say that it's how you should play the game. I merely pointed out that that's how this game was designed to be played by the people who made it and that the intentions were made clear to us all from the beginning.

 

And I still don't see your point. I don't see why Rockstar would care if people were hitting level 100 in 5 days or 5 weeks. They got their $60 so why do they care?

 

Because again, that was not their intention. The faster people accomplish everything a game has to offer, the faster they will be likely to move on. Rockstar said from the beginning that they intend for the game to grow and expand, therefore they want us to keep playing as long as possible while it's growing. You were so quick to bash me for playing MMO's, but if you would have taken the time to understand my point rather than for some reason take it as a personal attack, you would see that that is typically how these "persistent world" type games work. They require a degree of understanding and patience from the people playing them, which unfortunately is something which many "gamers" seem to lack nowadays.

 

Unless they want people spending more real money on cash cards maybe?

 

If this is really the case, then their marketing team is absolutely horrible. Outside of forums and maybe once or twice in the game itself, I've never heard mention of them at all. Even visiting Rockstar's site, I've seen them mentioned only once. They're not even advertised on the Social Club. People who play the game that don't spend the majority of time on internet forums probably aren't even aware they exist until they try to buy something they don't have enough cash for; and even then it's still a decision the player would have to make on his/her own on if they want something so bad that they're not willing to put a bit more effort into it. Although, I will admit that that alert about it is pretty jarring.

 

 

If I spent hours, days, years playing the same damn game just to earn the right to drive my digital Entity like a legit player I would shoot myself for being such a complete loser.

 

If that's is how you really feel, great, more power to you, but in that case you just have to accept that the game wasn't designed for people with a mindset like yours. Otherwise all you're doing is looking for justification for not wanting to play the game the way its creators wanted it to be played.

The hackers were going to hack the game regardless. They would have given out money, done the negative bounties, god mode, etc. etc. no matter what.

 

Cash Cards had no effect on that.

Not everyone wants to play the boring missions with random idiots. Not everyone wants to play survival. Not everyone gives a damn if we ever get stupid heists. Someone of us just want to cruise around in free roam open to the possibilities and making our own fun, using our imagination and playing the way WE want.

IMHO, there is only one legit way to acquire anything in GTA - steal it. I think glitching or modding is way more legit than buying money. A lot less lame, too. As for why people are doing it? It's fun to beat the system, and perfectly in the spirit of GTA.

I'm gonna say no because hackers will hack. But the money lobbies were most definitely started because of nerfing, cash cards and the taking of legit vehicles out of garages(not hacked vehicles).

I really don't think cash cards are bad or unjustified. But to charge $20 for 1.25 million of in game money is a slap in the face to gamers everywhere. You should be given more money, maybe 50 million. But as someone who's received gifted money threw no glitch or anything I did just joining a random lobby I'm looked upon as a cheater? I don't understand this. Having more money makes the game fun.

Like every other thing that happens in life, there are a myriad reasons why people do them. To bundle "hackers" together and say they're doing this to stick it to Rockstar is ridiculous. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they lower the price on a few cars (adder, z type. idk if anything else). Personally the game is more fun once I bought all the things with the hack my bro did........ but I suppose people want to earn the cash in a honest manner. To each of their own imo. Of course before all this hack biz I use to grind missions and races to earn cash, and as someone said before, it's becoming to much of a job to earn cash in this game. Earning cash shouldn't be heavy task. Leveling up and unlocking things such as car parts and guns are understandable. But just to get a vehicle itself shouldn't be a total chore imo. Of course now people are probably going to find ways to troll each other with the money instead of just having fun without trolling players (what about surviving cops or driving a car through the mountains for jumps.. unless im the only one that has waaaaaaaaaaaay too much fun doing that). People are probably hacking because of : the time it takes to actually earn a good amount of cash, just because or were expecting heist to be available sometime but haven't been giving the chance for them. Btw, has rockstar commented about heists yet?
