It's OBVIOUS R* was reducing our money prizes from missions and races because they wanted to make us buy those cash cards. Sooner or later things would just get a lot more expensive just like the C4, most ammo, and some vehicules did. Maybe this caused some people to hack and that's why they're sharing money with us. They're not being generous, they're protesting. And yes this is a conspiracy theory.

Online is fading fast due to horrid planning and execution, pushing a very incomplete product, believing that we would all beta test their product without abusing found exploits, and the list goes on from there, with cash cards falling near the bottom somewhere. I believe that R* will spend the rest of their days chasing their tail trying to fix these issues, and then fixing the problems the fixes cause... Hacking video games has been around much too long for them to allow it to happen with such ease. Ignorance is never an excuse.

No, nothing is because of the cash cards. The entire online is not based around making you buy cash cards. The rise of hackers is because of stuff is locked behind grinding. IMHO, there is only one legit way to acquire anything in GTA - steal it. I think glitching or modding is way more legit than buying money. A lot less lame, too. As for why people are doing it? It's fun to beat the system, and perfectly in the spirit of GTA.

Considering the cards were viewed as a cheat in and of themselves, surely their implementation motivated players to game the system. It's a challenge to create a game that skirts realism.

To be honest offering cash cards like this has made me lose a lot of respect for Rockstar. I always thought they were above crap like that, they definitely do not need it if you look at GTAV's sales numbers. So yeah I do support the hacking, let them hack the sh*t out of this game so that these cash cards become null and void and Rockstar will understand people don't want that sh*t.

I made plenty of money before I was gifted a billion (I had about $900,000 and had spent about 5 million). But most of it was done grinding boring ass races where everyone played bumper cars. It was done wasting time in missions where half the player would run around like assholes not knowing the objectives, dying, or just plain griefing other players in the mission. Selling cars once an hour, wasting time holding up store. Hoping for the occasional armored car. And with every update Rockstar would nerf payouts. The game was becoming a job, losing all fun, a boring f*ck grind. If you enjoy that kind of game play, good on you. But f*ck right off telling others to enjoy it the same way you do. Some of us have lives and don't want to spend 7 hours a day playing a game. We all paid our $60, we should all be able to enjoy all the features the game has without losing family, friends, and our homes to do it.

 

I have been given 2 billion, if I had bought the cash card equivalent that would be about $32,000 real f*cking dollars.

 

I have heard people brag about making $100,000 and hour playing the a game (a figure I think is a little high). to make 2 billion they would have to play for 20,000 hours. That's 833 days. Over 2 years. I sure as sh*t won't be playing in 2 years, will you?

I think the reason they hack is because they can. Also, correction on the cash cards.

 

People are ANGRY because they spent so much time fixing things for their cash card they didn't actually fix the game. So all those account problems and so on and the first problem they try to fix? Remove cash cards and try to fix the problem of money not staying on your account.
