THConer
hello dear investigators , I know that you've been searching for the jetpack for a long time . So would you please read this ? if you are interested that is going to help you a lot ! of course all of the gamers know that there is a glyph on mount chilliad indicating for a ufo , egg and finally the jetpack . That glyph was discovered once the game was released , and many people started talking about it and about the UFOs and that Egg ! We searched a lot for the jetpack , we found many clues saying that the jetpack is in gta5 , but the question was : Where is it ? How can we get it ? . Until now it has been months since the game was released and we found nothing ? is possible that a mystery in a game could be that hard ? We tried everything , the space docker , entering the elevator which is in fort zancodo and also , what do you think that we can do to solve that mystery ? . For me as a personal opinion i just think that there is no jetpack , even the investigators stopped searching for any other clues , the topic which is called ( Decoding mount chilliad ) stopped being an active topic , as well as it became a place to troll and post silly things . I consider that there is no jetpack because i think that we tried everything . we did our best , all of what we can do right now is sleeping in our houses , if we all ignored that mystery please be sure that R* is going to solve it . Please if you are interested continue on commenting and supporting this topic , I hope that this topic is going to be an alternative for ( Decoding mount chilliad ) Edited December 25, 2013 by THConer Curtis
Showstopper 26
Why would there be? Rockstar just cuts and guts content and mislead us. Bertanius, LubeMan and zielarz119
BBQ RIBS
I don't give a f*ck about the jetpack but wtf 6 months? GTAV has been out for 3 f*cking months!
grasseyeball
The game was released at the end of September. If my math is correct, it's been a little over 3 months. If you don't remember Batman: Arkham Asylum, there was an Easter egg within the game no one found after 6 months of its release. The game designers had to speak out and announce to the players that it was there, and how to get it. Soooooo ya, quiet you.

Say instead of putting jetpack couldn't they name maybe like object1 or some sh*t without it being completely obvious?
SonofUgly
If it's not in the game files, then it doesn't exist. The game files were searched, and nothing was found. Not exactly true anymore, people have just started decompiling the scripts and there is mention of jetpack - one of the native functions is: 4139637296:jetpack_coords_orientation Well I can definitely say this confirms what I've said all along, the jetpack is hard coded, no need for extra game files. The fact that it is controlled directly via natives tells me it is a completely custom implementation. If anyone's curious on how to help get more info, see this post, then go here and start guessing strings.

mercado2121
no jetpack, and its stupid anyways, not even fun to ride, plus why make it so hard to find the jetpack, when they made it easy for a SPACESHIP and even bigfoot, these two are more mysterious than a stupid jetpack,
stonedbazz
hmmmmm, you say we tried everything but i can think of 2 things that i cant recall reading about being tried (im not saying they havent been tried, just that i dont recall reading about them being tried). Firstly a speed run, not sure about gta 3 but pretty sure vice city and san andreas had 'finishing story within a set time' as requirements for 100% gta 4 had an achievment for finishing story in 30 hours, i dont see an achievment or 100% requirement needing story finished in a set time, could possibly unlock something....... problem being no one knows the target time secondly i did see a couple of theories suggesting you needed to finish the game 3 times to unravel the mystery, this was mostly met with the response 'that'll take forever, im not trying it' but i recall a few games in the past (most notably in my head is fable) where you had to view multiple endings for an achievment/unlock........... rather than play through the game multiple times, the trick was to play through once and create xx seperate saves just before the decision that affects ending, then play the final mission/battle xx times im not saying there's a flyable jetpack but i do feel there's more to the mural and although my suggestions may not hold the answer i think these two options have been largely overlooked and are far more likely in my opinion than a lot of the other ideas been suggested....... just my 2 pennys worth Bigboss83

By that logic Gordon Freeman was in San Andreas because his crowbar was seen in area 69.
Sweettooth187
I think it'd be hilarious if, as part of some GTA Online/single player feature update, they simply snuck it in there, and located it in an area that many of you had searched to the point of exhaustion. Then some n00b who just started looking is like, "Hey everyone, I found it!"
