Because Franklin would willingly help Trevor take care of the O'Neil brothers but has to be forced to save Lamar's life, and btw Trevor's life wasn't on the line as far as I can remember. Trevor has a method of getting paper that Franklin is aspiring towards ( the heists not the drug dealing) and Lamar is pretty much the main thing Frank is trying to get away from.
