So how do you make more money in this game?

Like most people, I received the 500k from Rockstar as compensation for GTA Online's downtime shortly after release.

 

280k of that I put into a luxurious apartment, and the only real perk it has is the 10-car garage. Sure it's roomy, but most of it is empty useless space. Then there is $75 dollars in cost every day. Most of the rest went into tuning some cars (nothing too major), and right now I'm at a little over 90k. It's gradually dropping.

 

So I'm just wondering, how do you make more money in this game? I do missions plenty, but you get the same ones over and over again and it's boring as sh*t, not to mention the rewards are crap. Most of what you receive goes into buying ammo and armor. I rob a store every now and then, but it's just pocket change, and after you robbed a store once, if you rob it again they'll start blasting you, resulting in you killing them and getting a three star wanted level, which is just a pointless waste of time. Selling cars is a nice thing, but the rewards are mostly sh*tty and there's a 48 realtime minutes cooldown.

 

I don't want my money to keep dropping, but more importantly, I'd also like to purchase a car or a helicopter somewhere down the road. If this pace keeps up it's gonna take forever.

 

I know Rockstar is promoting their "buy virtual money for real money" thing, but come on. There has to be alternatives in the game that don't take ages.

2. Run around for a few minutes so the modders can do their work

Easiest and fastest way to make legit money and levels is racing. I got 2 high level character with 2 garages earned from mostly racing.

 

 

Co-op jobs and death matches are great too. Also the few little money grabs in Free Roam.

 

 

But racing is where its really at.

I make 100k an hour playing with my wife and son simply doing missions and playing the game (parachuting, races, tennis, golf). You can also select more missions from the mission selection screen after your done with any activity so it's become increasingly easy to make money with the added payout adjustments. In the last two days of simply playing the game I have accumulated 238k without thinking about it. Once you have unlocked Lester, Trevor and Martin you will get higher paying jobs.

I have been in free roam a lot, and not being gifted thank f*ck (yet).

 

I usualy play Survival - Boneyard is easist - free ammo and $20K when complete it.

Missions from Trevor, Lester and Martin pay way better than Gerald and Simeon.

Gifting happens so often that I'd be constantly snitchin if I was to inform r* everytime, I became a billionaire and never asked for any of it, I love having the money tho and play everyday dont have the time or desire to snitch, fk anyone who snitches

I've been switching sessions for ten minutes, constantly looking for players with an absurdly high rank, but haven't found any. If I can get gifted money, that would be fine with me, as long as I don't instantly have the highest rank. Unfortunately, no such luck.

And yeah, I have been playing the rest of the time in solo mode. I don't really have any buddies to play with and the other players are just trying to kill me anyways, and with rank 15 I'm no match. So that just makes things more difficult.

Really, just keep switching sessions, go for 20 min, you sill see a high ranked mofo that suddenly puts a 10000000000000 bounty on someone, then you kill that guy or you will get a share

Rank means nothing in this game. If you've got a pistol and uzi your set. Use the terrain to your advantage, and use other's mistakes in tactics against them. I've started over 4 times, play Lonewolf when not playing with family and it's still not hard to make money or improve your skill. Don't be afraid to get killed and have fun with the game. When it becomes work it's purpose is defeated.

Passive mode - if you are in the car, see a playercomes towards you, jump out and maybe climb on the wall, they can run you down.

If I want to kill, I play Deathmatch.

free roam is a fest of endless laser tag, your rank is irrelevant, most players are now invincible and have tanks as well.

Little update here, been switching sessions for over 30 minutes now. Very rarely one person with a rank in the 300s, never above that. If I can spend this long switching sessions without finding a "hacker", then I have to say the people here are masters of exaggeration.

5) Go Online

6) Open phone

7) Quick job, play random activities.

If you don't want to exploit glitches or be handed millions in illegitimate cash, all I can recommend is finding a well paying mission (depends on your level really) and play it again and again and again and again and again.

A.Get given a billion dollars that if you spend will leave u bored and with nothing to do.

B.Grind the sh!te out of the game by farming races, playing survival a 1000 times in a row and replaying the same mission over and over again, especially if it's a dull one.

C.Play the game like it was supposed to be played by mixing up missions,races,survivals and a bit of freeroam with your friends.Just be careful about the amount of ammo and attachments you buy and you'll be fine.

D.After you've tried c,if your still struggling to get cash,message me if your on psn.I got 500 million off some guy and I gave it to a 2nd character cause I didn't want to ruin my first one.I don't use it much,only for me and my friends to test out knew cars so I'd be happy to upgrade some cars for you to sell.

Went with option A. Got myself those expensive cars I've been wanting, but don't get what you're talking about with being bored. Now the fun finally begins.
