lann3fors
As topic, does handling change with different Wheels?
Peter Smith
Yes, use some off road tires in the snow for better traction. Or whatever the terrain.
Krypt0nite1989
I definitely believe they do too.

I really wish that i wouldnt loose the expensive ones i have on rigt now though, would be great to be able to store the Wheels you once paid for. lowracin
You don't lose anything you paid for, just go to Customs and reinstall.
Tamzin
I don't think they have any effect at all.
Malibu454
The offroad tires seemed to help my cars in the snow.
Mrwhiteglasses
Snow had gone, and yes my 4x4 with offroad tyres smoked entity out in freemode.
Tamzin
Did a bunch of tests, identical cars different tyres, went to the mountains and stuff, cars side by side driving up the same sheer bit, conclusion: tyres have zero effect.
WBaker
Sometimes I think they do and sometimes I think it's a placebo effect.

Tamzin
lol Yep, don't u know that life rule? If you are not sure if something is working or having any affect, then it isn't lol, when it's working you'd KNOW it's working, otherwise it's just your mind playing tricks on you. Tamzin
I don't remember the name of it but u know that highest mountain in GTA place, I did loads of tests there (made a movie of some of it too) with various cars, to see which 4x4 is the best in game, coz it's really hard to drive up there. In the end we got up there in Trevor's truck, seemed the best one, surprisingly. Then on X-Mas in the snow, did it again, tried various 4x4 trucks and buggies, was totally impossible to get up there in them, then tried it with the Entity, with the slickest of tyres nothing off-road at all, STRAIGHT up there like a shot! In the snow lol. So err best 4x4 in game? The Entity with non-off-road tyres, so that's a non-off-road car with non-off-raid tyres on it, so yeah, so much for GTA being realistic with the cars and tyres having an affect etc hehe.I didn't make an actual 'test' video but if you're curious here's us driving up there, bits of anyway: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152058261590339 If anyone's seriously interested in making a definitive proof of concept on cars/tyres and make a YouTube of it, I'd totally be up for a collaboration on that effort. AndyC-M
ive got offroad tyres on my buggy, on xmas eve when R8 introduced the snow, i went out in the buggy (instead of the heavy RWD muscle car) and was still spinning out everywhere i dont think it makes much difference but it was bloody fun :-)

Mrwhiteglasses
My Sabre Turbo on tuner wheels couldn't climb on any mountains. Put off-road tyres on it, and it started to behave allright.(snow) Also my Baller drives on off-road wheels better than on sport wheels no matter what the surface. So its tricky. RageLSRS
I made 2 Tests for myself.. 1: Created a simple Straight Race on the Freeway I dont have the exact Times anymore but they finished like this: 4th Stock Entity without Customs 3rd Custom Entity with Offroad Tires 2nd Custom Entity with High End Tires 1st Custom Entity with Sports Tires 2: 6 Laps at the Dockyard with a fully modded Feltzer Just to compare the handling, the best Lap-Times were pretty close together.. 3rd Offroad Tires Improved Grip with Low Speed but heavy fishtailing and a unsafe feeling when cornering in High Speeds 2nd Sports Tires Good Grip in Low and Mid Speed Cornering, unsafe in High Speed. 1st High End Best Grip and less Fishtailing in Low and Mid Speed, and safer feeling in High Speeds I know those aren't exactly very scientific Tests but it got me away from the Belive of Tiresclasses being just a optical Gimmick (exept for Offroad Tires in the Dirt) Tamzin
