Cheaters, Modders, in GTA Online... here we go again

Well I glitched with LSC, got no qualms in admitting that. I also bought cash cards, so it's not like I'm being a scrounge. I also do a lot of jobs and races, a finger in every pie really.

 

I don't especially like the hacking either, particularly the godmode hack but you have to be honest there as well, Rockstar put little to no effort in securing their servers/cloud database since people can obviously tamper with the game very easily by making changes to their DNS.

As far as I'm concerned, they can call it a day at this point. The money thing is bad enough, but it feels like there's someone (or multiple someones) using "Terminator" mode in every lobby I go to the last few days. It's ridiculous and while it's the players' fault who are using these exploits, R* did a pathetic job with security. It's horrible how quickly this problem is spreading and R* is effectively putting its head in the sand (and people are going to defend them and go, "HOW COULD THEY HAVE KNOWN!" and "THEY"RE TRYING!".

 

They should have known and there is no evidence that they really care very much at all - if they gave a crap, they'd have made a statement to the fans that they aren't going to tolerate it and they're going to do something about it and they would have done that when this started to happen. It's really too bad, because it's a great game that apparently (given how out of hand the problems have gotten) had holes big enough to fly a Lazer through.

 

The game is both Fubar and Fugazi at this point. They aren't going to do a reset and I'm not sure if they're going to even fix the problems. Reset everyone without FIXING the problem and people are all just going to be billionaires again an hour later and using "Terminator" mode.

 

I'll never buy another R* game again, not that they (or anyone else), gives a F.

I heard that there may be a global reset at some point? I hope that IF there's a reset, it's just the money, and people that are something like level 250+ get XP reset. I don't think the game's population will be the same if there was a money and XP reset for all players everywhere.

What I mean by that is wait until someone gives you a ridiculous amount of money and you get a month in CP while the modder walks or get's barely a slap on the wrist.

Speaking from personal experience, being gifted $ does not land you in the cheater pool. Nope, what gets a non-modding, non-DNS, non-'hacking' player into the cheater pool is claiming a large bounty AND SHARING any portion of the claimed bounty.

 

Timer started @ 0y9m28d. Two days later @ 0y10m1d. Five days after @ 0y0m28d. I think I'm at 0y0m22d at this point. Obviously the timer had some issues.

 

My friends have claimed large bounties and not shared as well as have been gifted large sums and they are not in the cheater pool with me.

I shared a 1bil bounty with 2 of my friends quite a few weeks ago now...and we're still here. In fact, we've all come across more hackers since then and are all multi-billionaires at the moment.

 

I think it's more likely that nobody really knows what gets you banned/put in cheater's pool. Wouldn't be surprised if a few people lied when they said they just shared a job when really they were the instigator of the bounties/large sums being repeatedly shared.

 

Like I said, I only shared once and my character remains untouched.

 

The ball is in Rockstar's hands anyway, what they do with it is up to them. I think they are well aware that everybody is watching them to see how they will react to the hacking/modding/DNS problem. Could be a PR nightmare, could be a great comeback. Time will tell.

Honestly I blame rockstar and there cheater pool, the god mode wasnt a huge issue until they created the cheater pool. After throwing everyone in cheater pool they automatically started using other DNS to play with there friends which quickly escalated into these modded dns that everyone is using.

I honestly did not mod/DNS or anything like that. Honestly, I LSC'd for a few mil, maybe that factored into it? Maybe the combination of sharing a high bounty only once (48% of a 2.1bil bounty which came to a 1bil shared) and doing the LSC a couple of months ago got me in?

I, of course, appealed my cheater pool sentence of 10months to R* stating I simply shared a bounty and maybe that's why my timer was reduced to a month? They saw I shared the bounty and reduced my time, and because I did do a minor cheat left me in the pool for a month?

Who knows. Who knows why I got flagged and you didn't. Or why others who say they've never glitched wound up in the cheater pool after sharing from a bounty.

 

Who knows? I don't even think Rockstar does.

Do you think rockstar looks at every account then decide oh naughty you are in cheaters pool. It's all done buy bots and there bots are glitchy as the game itself. They got a few and missed a few.

Give it another month, it will probably be a whole lot worser then GTA IV I'm calling it right now.

 

TBH I don't really care though, I'm glad that I got to level 141 through the Capture glitch & have billions of dollars & never have to worry about running out of cash ever again
