Why can't we shoot AR's from the back of Vans and Boats?

Seriously, don't know why you can't, its not like its OP or something, considering both vehicles render you exposed when firing. GTA IV allowed AR's to be shot from boats.

Hell why can't we use them as passengers all together. Picture this.. You pull up in a exemplar, I hop in the back, roll down my window and light suckas up with the carbine.. Hash tags GTA DRIVE BY HOE. Thank you for you patience.

Yes ! The boat thing pissed me off, when doing missions involving boats, its really hard. Its not overpowered at all, this is almost the same issue as the Tommy Vercetti (who slaughtered mob guys) cant swim for sh*t. Hell the GTA Online artwork had someone shooting MP5 while being a passanger of a Coquette. In SP we're able to shoot using assault and MG. In Lost and Damned, we can shoot sawn off shotgun (which by the way, being the right model of the weapon) while driving. I never understand why they removed these features.

Pisses me off that on one of the loading screens a dude is shooting a Carbine or SMG out the window of a Coquette, Saints-Row style.
