opnion on the snow in gta online

It gives some of the Survival games at night a great, eerie feel (such as Boneyard.) Cool otherwise, as well.

[email protected] the people that really expected tyre tracks...I didn't expect snow on the floor when I first heard of the snow coming, I thought it would just be snow flakes which would have been fine with me. And it does affect traction, you weaker drivers are just too strange to notice it because you're always locking up, spinning and hitting street lights in normal weather anyway, or maybe you have so many hacked mods, it filters it lol.

 

It's just abit of cosmetic fun, you were never meant to roll about, build snowmen and make ice angels in it.

You do leave tracks in the snow (walking and driving) just not when on the roads / sidewalks. Go on grass and there will be marks. Basically they replaced the ground with snow for the image only, the ground still reacts the same (dirt /grass/mud leave prints, concrete does not)

It seems fun! Only problem I have is when I look through a fence, you can see some weird textures pop up. Gets annoying whenever I drive past the golf course.

Love the snow - unexpectedly pleasant change from the normal LS.

 

Totally affects car traction, too - no idea why people are saying it doesn't.

 

It does leave tracks on the roads - just there seems to be a rendering glitch with the snow on anything grey where it goes oddly reflective/translucent and kind of invisible (edit - like Predator camouflage). It's most apparent on chain link fences and those big power pylons out along the eastern highway, but it affects tire tracks on pavement as well - if you use the rear view as you drive, you'll vaguely see where the tracks are supposed to be.

How come they got snow right in single player but f*cked it up in multiplayer? Couldn't they use the same codebase?

Maybe cause the added snow effects would lower frame rates.

I like it but after playing for 3 hours in it it gets a little tiring, it's always very dark !! and very slippy, i wish there was an option or something to turn it off sometimes but i do like it tbh its nice & good spirited of rockstar & i applaud them for doing something like this

North yankton is totally different as they designed it to have snow, in los santos it is just a thin layer. Still cool though im just sad it's only for one day

Also I found out trying to drive a carbonizarre off-road now is f*cking crazy. No idea if it was me lagging and hitting invisible obstacles but I kept spinning like crazy with every tiny little turn.

The first one, i kind of agree with.

Yet i still dont own the game that i paid for, Bank Hesits where a huge part of advertising, and it made me pick this game up. 2 Months after launch, still not getting my moneys worth.

The money glitching and such has been funny, however i am truly sad at the amount of modding that can occur on this game.

So are we really getting good value for our money? I find fun things yes, but i expected more fun things to do out of the gate.

 

And your second.

Yes, Its a great touch for the season, but with North Yorkton? i was hoping for some kind of snowy options, especially if it adds to traction, the skin just shows its available for the game, and im hoping it finds its way to custom matches like rain. Because racing is so heavily influenced on this game (I call it Midnight Club Online) maybe im expecting to much, but i feel this would be a major addition to this games racing scene.

I signed on to take a few cars out for spins and I've got to say it's a blast. I had the most fun in my Phoenix and Ruiner. It's kind of like easy mode for snow driving.

I love it, it's a shame it doesn't snow in single player, but that would probably make existing missions make no sense.

Since I live in Australia, it is the closest thing i'm getting to a white Christmas, I wish the snow would stay all year round as an optional feature, some lobbies would have snow and some wouldn't.

Definitely not lag, I too took my Carbonizzare out for a spin and couldn't stop spinning out.
