Can you wait out bounties in apartment after 1.08 patch?

Nope same as if you have passive mode on stops the timer.

What if I log off? Does the timer re-set?

Someone said you can wait them out in LSC... haven't tried it but might be worth a shot. If you can make it

The timer doesn't reset if you log off, but it obviously stops and only starts again when you're online. You can't wait it out in LSC - that's one of the things that I believe has been in there since day 1.

 

There was a thread earlier where a guy was asking how to safely wait out a large bounty, and he said that going into solo or invite only sessions didn't bring up the "you've got a bounty" message, but it came up when he went into a public session. I'm not sure how that turned out, but it sounded like you need to actually be in a public session, and out of your apartment (obviously) for the timer to be counting down.

 

I wish you luck, but at the same time I'm glad if that's the case. Hopefully we'll stop seeing pussies leaving sessions when they get bounties on them, after all if the above is true then what's the point?

yeah, let us know if you still have a bounty when you go to invite only. Otherwise, just let someone claim it. There is also the submersible over in the Merryweather docks if you want to explore the sea.

It works in invite only session. I had a 2 bill bounty on me and went to invite only, the notice doesn't show up until after you leave your apartment though. I just sat in my car on the street and went to cook the family dinner lol.

I love when people talk about players being "p*ssies" and such; Just about 30 seconds ago, while reading this (I wanted to find out how long I had to wait for a bounty to expire), I had a $99,000,000,001 bounty on me for no particular reason I could see.

 

So, you ask, "what's the point?" Well, for me - I wanted the danged money, that's the point! So, yeah, if I could wait in my apt, then I will. If it means changing sessions, then fine. Problem is, while I was reading these posts and running to my apartment (on foot), I got massacred as three other players swarmed me.

 

I did not get the money. And now, that's the sad point.

You won't be able to share it. The best part of having all that money is that you can share 100% of the money if you're the one who killed the bounty guy.
