Turbo ruins good cars

I think it's pretty obvious how turbo ruins the good muscle cars/classics. Now, I think Rockstar should have a supercharger for muscle and classic cars. That way, we don't have an annoying turbo sound. All they would have to do would be change the name, and make a supercharger sound. That's it.

Being a car aficionado I would love a Supercharger update. muscle cars aren't the only vehicles that turbo ruins. I'd love it to be an option available on all vehicles, so we can choose between them.

I left a couple of my cars non turbo because i thought it ruined the sound.particularly the vacca the bf bifta and the carbonizarre.i think they're 3 of the worst ones with the turbo

Superchargers have distinctive sounds too... I don't see how that would make things better. Turbos are a high pitch whistle superchargers are a lower pitch constant whine.

If it's the sound your worried about I think your gonna be stuck with natural aspiration.

I for one don't mind the whistle or blow off valve of the turbo and for the boost in power I definitely will put it on my cars.

If they added a supercharger I would opt for that in my muscle cars and off roaders too though.

I agree in some cases, but the Sabre Turbo, err, presumably should have a turbo. I have a Phoenix and didn't turbo it for authenticity reasons.....until I noticed the "Turbo" badge on the grille.

The PC version isn't coming any time soon. They are going to release the PC version with the next gen versions. I can see it now.

 

Late 2014 they will release it bug free, since the PS3/360 are pretty much beta testers for online.

If you take a moment to actually look at both blowers you can see that they are in fact Superchargers as the have a belt that goes down from the screw to the crank pulley. They would just have to add a sound and a performance increase to it.

They could just make turbo/supercharger do different improvements as well,

 

Supercharger would give your car a serious low end boost, meaning better power to get those wheels spinning, whether it be offroading and need the power to pull you up a hill, or a muscle car, you need that boost to pull you ahead of the police/other player ( if the police didnt have 300lb wet shot nitrous kits )

 

A Turbo, would give you high end power, highway power.

 

The cons to each would be, a SC takes away top end power because the engine has to power itself and the SC, whereas a turbo would have significant turbo lag down low while it spools up.

 

So whats your poison? Lose'em fast and hope there isn't a highway somewhere in the near future, or turbo it up and smoke them on the highway, but better hope you dont have to slow down and come out of the boost range.

I only put turbo in my supers, you never rape a classic with turbo period, though my Hotknife functions pretty good with it. Sports Classics all you need is maxed engine level, transmission, and brakes. I kept my Monroe and Stinger GT bone stock. Besides what I mentioned modification wise the only thing I've done was drop the suspension on both.

Hell yeah OP I refuse to put a turbo on my muscle car or any or my supercars. It completely ruins the sound. Also if you put a turbo on a street bike it has no turbo sound. Supercharger is a great idea.

Darkwar856 superchargers make a whining noise from idle to redline.. Switching power adders isn't gonna make you happy.. Intact superchargers at more annoying to the ear.

Yah I've seen those cars on youtube. Lately I've been seeing people having both a supercharger and twin turbo for quicker throttle response and faster turbo spooling.. The sound of having both supercharger and turbo would be epic.

That's true and I completely agree with you, but knowing Rockstar that won't happen. Your only options left are to quit playing the game (yeah right!) or you could play on mute. If the mute feature on your TV is broke then I would suggest making yourself permanently deaf (try shooting guns directly near your ears - large caliber guns, fireworks, vacuums, extreme pressure, having a friend "clap" your eardrums, sneaking onto an airport, etc.).

a supercharger with a turbo setup would make less top end power then just a turbo setup. top end power is the only important power.
