How to combat a tank on a roof.

OP is a joke, there have been at least a half dozen ideas that would easily take him out and yet he still is living the illusion that he's invincible. It's not even a discussion all he's doing is pretending he's untouchable.

 

No their hasn't, I just can't be assed to respond to them. If you think going passive mode on a roof would work for example, then you be my bitch at least 5 times.

 

 

 

That is where you're wrong jabroni. Passive mode, on to the roof top. Then you can easily throw stickies from close range, call in an air strike, use an rpg or grenade launcher. Same with off the radar, all of those tactics can still reach you. Not to mention flying in a Lazar to take you out, over and over and over. Or my personal favorite, load up a car with 5 stickies, lift it with a cargobob, hover over.. drop it on your ass and blow you sky high. Tanks aren't invincible, you certainly aren't invincible. The only bitch here is you, a thousand times over.

Yes, I can. If I can see your tank, I can snipe you out of it. 'Tis plain and simple really. If I have line of sight of your tank, from any angle, especially the exhaust vents, then I can snipe you with ease.

 

You said you placed yourself in a position on a roof in which you have the ability to reverse, and that's it, correct? Means you're going to remain in the same place for a while, right? That means I'll have MORE than enough time to scout out the perfect perch to snipe you from. One quick call to Lester, and you won't even know that I'm there scouting out the area!

No you cannot snipe a tank from any angle. You keep saying you can and I'll keep saying you can't.

You know what a stationary tank is called? A target.

 

One easy gun run from a laser or a Buzzard with a missile gunner at altitude will take out the sitting duck easy.

I will take your helis out the sky. Someone tried parachuting on the roof. He failed.

Does no one ride shotgun in a buzzard. THE CAM MISSILES SHOOT STRAIGHT DOWN. A tank can't shoot straight up... Especially one that can't move on a roof. Just get a buzzard get a co pilot worth their salt, keep height and lay waste to the tank.

 

Done and done.

It's quite amusing the comments the OP is incorrectly making about only being able to snipe tanks in a specific way. He's clearly never done it himself or he'd know that's not true.

 

In actual fact, I've only ever sniped a tank driver twice, and both times were on the left, where the driver is. He'll say you can't do it, but I know you can because I have done.

 

Also, I have spent many a fun hour on Eclipse Towers' roof sniping people at LSC. If the OP were on a roof anywhere near there then he'd actually be very easy to snipe. @OP if you disagree then let's meet online. I'll even help you get the tank on the roof and get you set up. We can do it in an invite only session, or public - whichever you prefer. I'll happily accept it if you can prove me wrong :)

I don't understand why it's so difficult...the best thing to use is a buzzard with two people in in. Pilot overs above the tank whilst the co pilot sends in missiles...it really isn't that hard...

 

Tbh this tactic my friends and I use even with moving tanks...if they're on a roof it just makes it easier.

 

May I also add, you are a complete ass.

I'm pretty sure the vent wall blocks the tank from that angle.

I've explained how certain tactics wouldn't work, and then I get idiots accuse me of being a badass or a troll.

 

Can't say I'm surprised by that though.

 

Someone mentions about an airstrike. I've already explained why that would be diffficult to pull off. Take into account how busy that area is. There's often another tank on the ground, not to mention a few players respawning after being blown up by a tank.

So easy to hear a cargobob coming behind you and easy to take out. I even have time to come out of the tank and hit you with a rocket or minigun.

 

How someone manages to get themselves picked up by cargobob whilst in a tank is a mystery to me.
