How to combat a tank on a roof.

There was a tank on a roof near the LSC near Vinewood. The tank was positioned so it couldn't be sniped and was hitting other tanks below and reversing back so couldn't be hit by other tanks.

 

That guy was me, blasting noobs. Now how would you combat this?

Yeah one at a time you have one barrel, 5 second delay, in that five seconds, two Helis could easily lay waste or atleast distract you, while another player with explosives climbs to the adjacent roof and RPGs you

Takes skills to use one. Otherwise it's an easy hit once a jet gets close.

i walked up to and out of sight of the tank turrent, stood by the ladder to the roof and called in a mugger. mugger goes up the ladder, i follow close behind, mugger pulls the guy out, i kill him and start to spawn kill him from the roof with his own tank.

 

he left the session after the second death.

You have time to shoot maybe one, while the others repeatedly attack you, if that doesn't so the trick, there is the backup player on the opposite building feeding your tank with missiles

Flying tank, nice though it's easily taken care of if the cargo bob is shirt down, maybe a fleet of Helis, backing up the tank

I would hear your cargobob. You can hear choppers off the radar and one hit and you're both done. Good idea though. Have someone fly a tank around and the tank takes everyone out.

That building, there's only one spot where you can land a tank and be effective. It's full of walls and vents. It's not a flat building. The eclipse tower building.

 

Doesn't make it easy for buzzards to get a good aim either.

he's talking about the LSC roof, all the roads are flat besides the one next to the mall but it's not that steep. He'd have to go shoot from the distance to actually hit the guy off the roof.

Jesus Christ lol ok let's see....hmm.....bunch really high level players together on maybe 2 Helis, sitting on the sides, while the Heli slowly spins and moves, and they shoot RPGs (deadly aim is needed) if that's not the case, have a jet dive bomb you multiple times

 

Never mind that pos I wrote up there, LSC is simple, gather a bunch of people, and put them on the opposite side, have them equip mini guns, dogs, grenade launchers, the works. After battering you with attempted Heli missiles, they throw a couple air strikes your way

It's getting someone on a roof that's the difficulty. Because a minigun won't be hitting me from on the ground.

I'd just airstrike you. Or you make a nice target for 30mm Jet cannons.

 

Good for you. Most people have no idea how to use an airstrike though. Also take into consideration there's usually other tanks down on the ground to keep you company.
