Clue #1: Notes an inverse correlation between doing the "right thing" and wealth.

After returning her car, she remarks in her email that most people have done well in business by screwing others over. She assumes the protagonist must be poor given they were kind enough to return her property.

 

Clue #2: Random Encounter.

She's not part of the main story.

 

Clue #3: Sharp line in suits

She owns a tailoring business.

Thanks! I knew that I remembered someone saying the stuff in clue #1, but it wasn't until #3 that I could put a name to it.
