I haven't played since I glitched off a ladder and lost of my stuff, do the zombies still run through walls to get you?

They glitch through walls occasionally, but for the most part they follow the open path. You can now barricade yourself safely inside buildings. (until they glitch through.)

The zombies have been aggroing animals since animals were first added, but ever since they changed the animal AI the animals have gone haywire, and the zombies with them.

I think it's brilliant lol was hoping to see them kill a cow but they are just to slow. It did make me think though if you actually get killed by a zombie in this game you really need to feel embarrassed if they can't catch a cow.

For instance I've noticed that people in this game don't shoot (other players) on site, like they do in GTA: O, and instead choose to take them as prisoners and take their gear. I love this aspect, but what I've never understood is why. Why do players in this game spare other players' lives, when they could just as easily shoot them and still take all their gear?

Is it simply a code of etiquette that is obeyed, or is there other reasons?

And also, if a player gets captured and knows he's going to lose all their gear, why don't they a least try to fight? Is this a role-playing thing, to try and recreate how they'd behave in a real-life situation?

Well.

1: It gets boring just deathmatching players

2: Once you get some really rare loot you stop thinking that you want to get into danger and risk it.

3: If they were just going to shoot you for your stuff they would just do that instantly, otherwise they want a bit of fun out of it.

4: The reason you don't just try and punch out your captors is because they may just want to f*ck with you, or just take some items, sometimes people leave you with some items. If they take all your stuff they may as well have shot you dead, therefore you would then fight back. But having hope you might still keep something is better than nothing. Besides sometimes they might not be able to carry all your gear anyway.

5: It's all about survival, all you are is your gear why throw away hard work for nothing.

6: Often it may be easier (like in real life) to hold someone up for gear than to shoot them, especially if you have a gun but no ammo, or only a few bullets. The other player might not know this and willingly give you ammo and items in fear of being shot.

7: There are handcuffs, burlap sacks and force feeding for a reason. It is entertaining and unique.

8: And as already mentioned, shooting people has the risk of damaging loot.

I think I covered most of it.

It still happens occasionally, but it is much better than before, though zombies can now climb stairs. They are faster too and more dangerous, but still, don't go through walls as much. Also ladders seem to be stable now. So you could say... Crysis Averted...

huh, huh.

But yeah I really wish zombies got distracted more easily, if they stopped following you if you just kept running, or if they would trip and fall.

I hear they are adding in zombies breaking down doors, but that would have to mean zombies shouldn't be able to open doors or glitch through them, so I hope they get that all right, soon.

GTA:O will never be like that, atleast not the console version

people are too content with its bland/casual gameplay, plus the console version is infested with too many trigger happy kids.

New patch released yesterday - the feel of the game has been changed completely now that the new zombie AI is in. They're also a lot tougher. Unfortunately, the new loot system has screwed up loot spawning completely, so that's a downer.

I really need silencers now though.

Yeah, the hotfix for loot was definitely needed. Spending an hour picking and eating apples wasn't really the most exciting start to a play session.

Is it true that the tents are actually persistent now? Because that would be great if so, the above photo is in a military tent stashed in some woods near Grishno. Would love tobe able to start stockpiling stuff in solo play sessions so that I can squad up with some fools and cause some mayhem.

I don't know if you know this daz but you can patch up the military tents with a leather kit thingy makes them look like new instead of sh*tty and horrible.

Also you can make a temporary silencer using some gaffe tape and a bottle.

1: It isn't my tent.

2: I tried that (didn't give the option)

3: The worn look acts as camo.

4: Bottle silencers are only good for one shot afaik. Which ain't good.

Right so basically I have just been collecting more and more stuff on a low pop public server.

Have 2 vehicles and more than 10 primaries with ammo and mags plus a shedload of other stuff. I know that persistence is working at the moment, but we all know that won't last and my stuff will wipe one day probably not too far off so I really just want to squad up and go bandit hunting on a high pop server sometime soon before it all goes. Me Seb and Daz are all at the base which is near Grishino, so if jelly and oyster or whoever fancies joining then i would try and make it there on a pub server with your char, don't worry about gear we can gear you completely, and we can try and organise a time to suit everyone to go and wreck sh*t.

I'm on a public server, not telling which one.

So me and my friend found a military tent aswel. We've hidden it somewhere and over the course of a week or so we have been going on lootruns to dump the tent full of stuff. Now we're sitting on a goldmine of 5.56'ers, 7.62's (x39), .45, 9mm, .380.... heck just anything. There's also a MP5K with some mags, PMRAK (or whatever the gun was called again) + mags and more stuff in there.

Hell, gonna be so angry when it gets wiped (inevitable) but just being able to toy around with said game mechanics is fun and promising. Cannot even dare dream how awesome sh*t is going to be when its' 'done'.

Still, got a good loadout and goinng for succesful lootruns. Had a couple of encounters, only two of them resulted in me killing the other guy. The others were just people taking potshots at me and me getting the F out of there.

Yeah pretty much the same situation. Me and Daz had 2 tents nearby that got wiped. But then I found 2 new ones straight away. Since then it has been pretty easy to collect virtually everything. Especially with the trucks that repair and refill themselves at the moment.

Think there is only about 2 guns in the game I don;t have with mags and ammo in one of the tents now.

Well jelly is at work for another 4 weeks I think? so he won't join us for now but I will be up for a meet. Last place i logged out was top left hand corner of NW airfield in a field. Some random dood and I teamed up and drove up there. Get seb or daz to hit me up on steam when you guys are wanting to play.

So, we had a major f*ckup today.

Was attempting to pick wjf up from the coast, got in the truck which was half inside a tent, instantly blew up/flew to the moon/f*ck knows what, so I died and lost all my sh*t and probably the truck and the tent who knows.

We spawn off and gear up in matching attire, then sh*t ourselves hiding from heavily geared dudes in cherno.

smXPxbW.jpg

We nearly make it but we get constant lag and desync and wjf gets one shotted by a zombie and dies.

We managed to meet up again and FINALLY get enough god damn food to swim out to the prison island.

After amazing loot and the most of all happy times we had an unfortunate bumping accident on a balcony and then this happens:
