Define irony....

getting put into a "cheaters pool" and then being rewarded $2k for being a "good sport" while in said pool. just happened to one of my XBL friends

Sigh...

So let me guess, none of you actually read the support post, am I correct?

Because no where in that post does it say that people gifted money will be banned or put in a cheaters pool. If you think that's what it says, you either need to re-read the post or perhaps go back to school to learn some comprehensive reading skills.

Oh well.

And another thing, just because you paid $60 for the game, doesn't make it yours. You paid for the permission to use their intellectual property and server space..

Dafuq does that mean?

I paid for permission?.. Ooooh hell f*ckin nooo. I paid for the product they sold which included single and multiplayer. I don't give f*ck about permission.. They should have made it FREE if they think they can just do what ever the f*ck they want.

Id like to see anyone say that to me, right to my face, ''you paid for permission to play their game''.. You'll be paying the dentist permission to fix your teeth.

+1

They did say it to your face dumbass... Remember that little box you clicked "I accept terms and conditions".

Learn to read/ have attention span to read

No I don't remember agreeing to anything nor did they say it to my face.

Where does it say... "If a hacker gives you cash you're f*cked"?

Il wait for you to find that exact quote in the soooo called agreement I agreed to.

It's called an End User License Agreement. You've agreed to this in every game that you've ever played which has an online component. I guess you're too dense to understand this, so we're just pointing that out.

I've never been able to read any of that crap ever. Its all small print and gibberish.

Real world states if I bought I own it, small print is just small talk. Sure, if go out of my way mod the game id expect some sort of ban.

Bottom line. I don't; got time for bullsh*t.

Especially if I paid for it... Don't try to tell me im not entitled to something I paid for. That's retarded.

Just as retarded as banning people for no reason, other then receiving hacked cash from out of no where.

You bought a disk with information on it. Nobody says you don't own that. Your ownership of that doesn't mean that somebody else can't go and change their game and require you to patch yours if you want to play on their servers. You play in their game, you play by their rules. If you want to play the game as you bought it, there is single player available.

Real world.

People who keep saying its in the the t&cs or in the end licence agreement, would you care to show where and what exactly it says, or are just going around making assumptions of what you expect to in there?

Real world.

I agree with playing by their rules.

But where does it clearly state what they are? They don't really.. Its like some lawyer just wrote up a bunch of terms that really don't make any sense at all in certain situations.

Like getting gifted cash and then being branded as a cheater.. These are the game devs problems not the players.

It was known a while ago that people where getting gifted cash and high bounties. R* did nothing.

Now if it was up to me I would have brought down all servers the moment it was first reported and left them down till fixed. That's how you really fix a problem with an online game.

Even when the LSC glitch first started. Bring down the servers until fixed. Ya people would be mad they can't play but sooo what. The game needs to be fixed.

Instead they opt to let some program go around and punish players just over suspicious activity without any real clear definition of it... While the game is still UP and RUNNING. And instead BAN legit players due to a hackers donation of cash.

Talk about lazy and stupid...

I say, who is the dork saying I paid ninety bucks for "permission" to use their "intellectual" mumble jumble bullsh*t? Are you out of your mind? Maybe Rockstar can do what the f*ck they like, but they must understand that the fanbase were practically the ones who made Rockstar what they are today because we buy their f*cking product. Without respect towards their fanbase, they're f*cking themselves, because slowly but gradually they're losing fans.

Comprehende?

I got friends in cheater pools. One reported it an spent none of it. The other spent a sh*t load and got sent there. I don't need a vid, I seen it with my own eyes. Enough for me to avoid playing in public games till they fix it.

A few other friends who have kept their mouths shut and spent none have been safe so far.

Also, just look at the social club support page for GTA V, I see a bunch of posts of legit players complaining..

If you want proof go find it. Don't expect it to be served on a platter. This ain't Burger King muthaf*cka

No point trying to get rid of whatever cash you've been gifted; the amount will always be recorded on Rockstar's end.

I don't care if they take my cash away and put me in the Cheater's Lobby; I've got what I want. I only play solo missions now, so if I do get sent to the CL, I'll just do solo there too. Still buy whatever DLC as I can still play the game. No skin off my back either way.

The only thing that you own is the disc itself, as was said previously. You can play single player as you see fit and do what you will, but when you enter the online environment you have to follow whatever Rockstar details is fair play. What is that exactly? Well, if that has to be pointed out to you then chances are you weren't following it in the first place and you deserve whatever is coming to you. The only bad I see is R* putting legits into the penalty box for spending dirty money. I agree they should have made the system more clear. That's about all I will agree with.

People who keep saying its in the the t&cs or in the end licence agreement, would you care to show where and what exactly it says, or are just going around making assumptions of what you expect to in there?

Here you go...this mind you was taken from a previous posting on this very board (search function is your friend)...

LICENSE CONDITIONS

You agree not to:

  1. commercially exploit the Software;
  2. distribute, lease, license, sell, rent, convert into convertible currency, or otherwise transfer or assign the Software, or any copies of the Software, including but not limited to Virtual Goods or Virtual Currency (defined below) without the express prior written consent of Licensor or as expressly set forth in this Agreement;
  3. make a copy of the Software or any part thereof (other than as set forth herein);
  4. make a copy of the Software available on a network for use or download by multiple users;
  5. except as otherwise specifically provided by the Software or this Agreement, use or install the Software (or permit others to do same) on a network, for on-line use, or on more than one computer or gaming unit at the same time;
  6. copy the Software onto a hard drive or other storage device in order to bypass the requirement to run the Software from the included CD-ROM or DVD-ROM (this prohibition does not apply to copies in whole or in part that may be made by the Software itself during installation in order to run more efficiently);
  7. use or copy the Software at a computer gaming center or any other location-based site; provided, that Licensor may offer you a separate license agreement to make the Software available for commercial use;
  8. reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, display, perform, prepare derivative works based on, or otherwise modify the Software, in whole or in part;
  9. remove or modify any proprietary notices, marks, or labels contained on or within the Software;
  10. restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying any online features of the Software;
  11. cheat or utilize any unauthorized robot, spider, or other program in connection with any online features of the Software;
  12. violate any terms, policies, licenses, or code of conduct for any online features of the Software; or
  13. transport, export, or re-export (directly or indirectly) into any country forbidden to receive the Software by any U.S. export laws or regulations or U.S. economic sanctions or otherwise violate any laws or regulations, or the laws of the country in which the Software was obtained, which may be amended from time to time.

The only way this can possibly be "confusing" is to someone who is just plain blind to understand how EULA's work. Their definition of cheating is whatever they say is cheating, and you having agreed to to said EULA, relinquished any and all rights to dispute what Rockstar dictates for their product herein. If you don't agree with it, well...you're playing a separate application from the original work, of which's regulations are subject to change without notice. I'm sure you've probably heard that one before, right? To put it bluntly, R* is the pimp and we all agreed to be their bitches. If you don't want to be anymore, stop playing...because that's your only option.

This is an automated message from Rockstar Games to inform you that disciplinary action has been taken against your account. This action affects in-game matchmaking and will place you into games with players who have similar transgressions on record. We base these decisions on in-game automated detection, examination of suspicious gameplay statistics, and also manually-reviewed evidence submitted by the Community. The only way this can possibly be "confusing" is to someone who is just plain blind to understand how EULA's work.

Well.... TO be honest no one reads that. .They just click agree and play. I myself can barely understand any of that crap as its seems more like a cover our ass letter. Its not even speaking real English, its lawyer talk, and I don't speak that.

But seriously. Where does it say. If a modder gives cash to said player, R* has the right to ban the player who received the cash. That's real talk.

Because that's the real point..and reality.

It's called an End User License Agreement. You've agreed to this in every game that you've ever played which has an online component. I guess you're too dense to understand this, so we're just pointing that out.

Agreed to it..

I've never been able to read any of that crap ever. Its all small print and gibberish.

Real world states if I bought I own it, small print is just small talk. Sure, if go out of my way mod the game id expect some sort of ban.

Bottom line. I don't; got time for bullsh*t.

  • commercially exploit the Software;
  • distribute, lease, license, sell, rent, convert into convertible currency, or otherwise transfer or assign the Software, or any copies of the Software, including but not limited to Virtual Goods or Virtual Currency (defined below) without the express prior written consent of Licensor or as expressly set forth in this Agreement;
  • make a copy of the Software or any part thereof (other than as set forth herein);
  • make a copy of the Software available on a network for use or download by multiple users;
  • except as otherwise specifically provided by the Software or this Agreement, use or install the Software (or permit others to do same) on a network, for on-line use, or on more than one computer or gaming unit at the same time;
  • copy the Software onto a hard drive or other storage device in order to bypass the requirement to run the Software from the included CD-ROM or DVD-ROM (this prohibition does not apply to copies in whole or in part that may be made by the Software itself during installation in order to run more efficiently);
  • use or copy the Software at a computer gaming center or any other location-based site; provided, that Licensor may offer you a separate license agreement to make the Software available for commercial use;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, display, perform, prepare derivative works based on, or otherwise modify the Software, in whole or in part;
  • remove or modify any proprietary notices, marks, or labels contained on or within the Software;
  • restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying any online features of the Software;
  • cheat or utilize any unauthorized robot, spider, or other program in connection with any online features of the Software;
  • violate any terms, policies, licenses, or code of conduct for any online features of the Software; or
  • transport, export, or re-export (directly or indirectly) into any country forbidden to receive the Software by any U.S. export laws or regulations or U.S. economic sanctions or otherwise violate any laws or regulations, or the laws of the country in which the Software was obtained, which may be amended from time to time.

I don't see how being given money by a random player can be classed as cheating, but if thats how r* wanna play it, I guess ill just go back to forza or some other game :/

I asked a hacker for my billions

I emailed cockstar and pleaded my innocence and reported today

fillling out my 2nd characters garage with hacked money.

If they ban me then f*ck then f*ck those pricks. But if they don't then I've got one over them.

Why should I report other players? f*ck emailing those incompetent assholes

I play videogames to have fun

The fun is being taken out of this game with every patch.

Can't wait till you're patched out.
