Cheaters Pool Discussion: mass bans are coming

Cheaters pool should be renamed to Billionaires Pool.

 

Regular pool should be renamed to Peasant Pool.

but they wont have their billions any more silly!

 

All the modders are in cheaters pool lol. Modders hand out more billions.

 

Only losers are the "legits" AGAIN HAHAHA

 

 

 

Im legit... I got 2 characters with everything I want and need. All the cash I was saving would just go to ammo and stupid things I never really use.

 

At this point, im just avoiding public games to avoid getting gifted to avoid getting banned.

 

If I get gifted BILLIONS it would serve me no real purpose at all. Besides make me a target to be banned. Which now im just hiding alone in solo servers wondering what the f*ck is the point of playing SINGLE player online... Oo

Which ...you really shouldn't have to do. I have always defended R* star against whiners and the like. But this sh*t is f*ck up! very unfair on the people who really got f*cked by a hacker. I am starting to agree that GTAO is going to die pretty quick

I just find it a little odd that they are cracking down so hard with GTA online, and didn't do much about mods and stuff in Red Dead and GTA IV, at least as far as I know. I don't pay much attention to forums I just play the game.

Maybe that's why they're cracking down on GTA: Online...as the other games became such a clusterf*ck. And more to the point...they had this ambitious idea to have it an ever changing and expanding world...

 

Unlike the other two games which were just an add on this was a seperate entity from the core single player game.

You paid for the permission to use their intellectual property and server space, nowhere does it say you have full ownership or any say in how the game is played. It's a priveledge, not a right, and priveledges can be taken away just like driving. Ungrateful pissants need to learn your place, if you don't like the rules of the game, play another one and stfu.

No worries, game companies are working on fixing that "glitch", too.

 

Also, I think there is a disconnect here between people talking about what Rockstar has the right legally to do and people talking about what a competent company would be doing. It's illegal to enter a business after they have closed and take stuff, but if that business leaves their front door open, whose fault is that, really? Couple that with the fact that THIS IS A GAME NOT REAL LIFE and the argument that there is somehow a moral responsibility on the part of the average gamers to help their game company fix glitches falls apart.

 

I would have been happy if there were no glitches and if people didn't just hand out gigantic amounts of money, but that's not the world we are living in, now is it? In this world, Rockstar created a game with huge, massive, easy holes to crack open. And in this world, if someone hands me a bag full of money, I"m going to spend it, which doesn't strike me as all that morally wrong because THIS IS A GAME THAT REWARDS YOU FOR STEALING.

 

In summary, I KNOW HOW TO USE CAPITAL LETTERS.

That's what happens when you don't read the contract you agreed to when you hit the "accept" button. You may own the physical disk, but all it is is a license to play the game. Just like a driver's license, the entity that issued it to you did so on the condition that the use of said license will be done so according to their rules. Break the rules (speeding, etc), and your right to drive can be taken away. No different here, as long as you're on R*'s servers playing online, you're in their house and they set the rules. The fact that you're online playing means you agreed to their terms and are therefore responsible for playing by their rules. Accept it as fact, if you didn't agree with all their terms you shouldn't have hit that "accept" button.

I'll say it again, it's YOUR obligation to report it, just like in real life, when you see something that you know is out of the ordinary. Doesn't matter how difficult it is to report, it's still on you. You don't want to a "snitch", again, your choice, better be willing to suffer for it. What's worse, taking 5 minutes to submit a report to clear your name, or several months in a cheater's pool you don't feel you should be in?

I agree with your sentiment...but...I have a support ticket I put in October 20th that's still open...I STILL get form letter responses asking me the same damned thing over and over again. And that was 111 Ranks ago.

 

Now, how long am I going to have to wait for them to address this issue? Especially by their own admission they have a bot that uses some "metric" to determine who is a cheater or not? And if I'm classed as a cheater...and have things reset because of their lackadaisical attitude when it comes actually addressing broken issues in their game...I will be highly pissed. HIGHLY. And rightfully so...no matter whether their EULA states that I have no actual intellectual rights to their property.

 

Better yet...they should've slapped, BETA on the end of their Online experience...and I wouldn't have invested so much time in cultivating my character and bothering with leveling up. I would've dicked around in Free Roam more since it would have meant nothing in a game where everything is temporary.

I'm sorry, but it happens...I got into a debate with someone about this in another thread...he didn't believe it happened...until he saw it happen to his friend in a lobby...to which I received a personal message on this forum that he understood that these events can be random.

 

I do say that, a lot of people on here feigning innocence after begging for money....did go looking for trouble. But just because you haven't experienced it or seen it...doesn't mean it doesn't exist. That is thinking that is way too insular.

 

But, this morning at 5am I was "gifted" (or cursed, choose which word you like) with 200 million. I wasn't looking for the money...I was hitting Armored Trucks that were spawning back to back enjoying myself and my ill gotten gains...and when I saw it pop on my screen...I freaked out cause I thought it was 2 billion and thought my Social Club page would be f*cked up. And I was super pissed, cause I'm always on my Social Club checking my stats.

 

I took the pictures of the infraction, sent them in with a firm but not aggressive letter to them. And now I'll wait. And if it's anything like my other OPEN ticket? I will be waiting A LONG time.

I hopped on GTA O today and actually received a good sport bonus. 1.6 bn acquired from 3 modders that i asked and a 100mil bounty= good sport bonus + no ban BUT 200 mil from some random modder = Cheater lobby for 9 months. R* logic

This EULA argument is a lot dumber than some people seem to think it is. It's a given, otherwise this topic would not be "This sucks", the topic would be "Rockstar is doing something illegal and we're going to sue".

 

Even then, it's not exactly on rock-solid legal ground if they have created a situation where their game has bugs in it that can cause users to violate that EULA without any deliberate action on their part.

Personally, I'll take the chance and if it happens then fair enough, did the crime.

 

Before I got gifted 325,000,000 the game was a chore. 3-4 Missions just to afford a new paint job? Seemed like every time I logged on I was going to work. Got the money and now I can play the game for fun. I'm still doing missions for the RP and levels but I don't need to worry about the cash if I want to try out the new wheels I just unlocked.
