Wow.

Haven't played gta since 1.04 or was that 1.05? Hmmmm.

Anywho, glad to see people are just as gullible as they were when gta:o started.... We'll pry more so really.

Personally I never felt the pay off was reasonable, especially after playing story mode and seeing the big price difference in items. Yes it could/should cost more, but personally it seemed like it was more than it should be, but thats just me, the cheaters/glitchers are guilty of course, but I also think Rockstar was trolling with the high prices.

Single player was made to sustain ones interest for, what, 50-60 hours? That's 2 1/2 days. GTA:Online was created to sustain ones interest for an unlimited number of hours, days upon days. Of course things are going to cost more and money is going to take more time to earn. f*ck. How do people not get this?

of course dude.. I understand why a car cost 1 mil etc..., but when you die and lose 2k (which is what you use to lose) and you complete titan of a job and make 10k, do you see the problem? you didnt make from the job nearly as much money as it took just to play the game as they intended, you die twice and 15-20 mins of work is gone in maybe less then a minute) I dont think it was reasonble way to earn money without playing the same mission over and over and over again (Violent Duct) or the same race over and over and over again (criminal records/down the drain)

Honestly I don't people would be as mad at R* if they just say back and watched the world they created and did nothing like an uncaring god looking down on their creation. Every once in a while doing somthing but for the most part, staying out of it.

kinda depends dude. Reasonable logic says "Why report if they cant do anything about it" .... My friend reported someone doing a wall glitch, sent them the necessary info (a video), and they responded with the same generic later asking for the info he already sent. So i myself concluded, "We have to fend for ourselves" perhaps that was wrong?

Just because the customer support techs aren't allowed to send out information that hasn't been scripted for them, doesn't mean that the actual people who need the information aren't getting it. They are. The customer support people can only respond to you with certain walls of premade text. Can you imagine if one of them said something they weren't supposed to while replying to a customer? It's simple. They obtain the info and pass it along. The developers look at the info and decipher. If more people actually reported being gifted money the issue possibly wouldn't have run so rampant....they could've tacked down the exact users/crews doing it and stopped it.

As is, all it looks like is that a bunch of people went onto a forum, asking for money from hackers, then receiving it, then, only AFTER they get in trouble, reporting it as "not being wanted". And they can back that up by a quick search of this forum showing hundreds of people doing that exact same thing.

I'm starting to think that the people who landed in the cheaters pool today and were gifted money were trolled by the hacker who gave them the money in the first place.

[edit] meaning that the hackers who got caught turned in all of the PSN or XBL accounts that they gave money to.

The support guy is claiming that they have "internal" mechanisms to determine who has gifted money but even myself was gifted 100M+ TWICE and I'm still able to play. Granted that may not be the case after tomorrow and Patch 1.08 is live.

And no, snitches, Sterling Malory Archer is not my PSN nor XBL ID, it's my online persona for this forum. Woo hoo!

gta5stats.com is all they needed. LOL now anyone can know your info... so those 3-4 thousand billionaires days are numbered supposedly...

but thats something we dont know. what we do know is that Rockstar said we cant do anything about it. Personally i requested money and when punishment comes i wont mind, but I know there are people who where sorta clueless about the restrictions of either asking for money, or receiving some by chance and not telling rockstar. When i started playing GTA V i had no clue about stuff like this. Some random dude put a bounty of 500k on me, I didnt think, man i should contact Rockstar, it just didnt come to my mind. I ended up letting a friend keep it.

Gnocchi Flip Flops

What I find ever more absurd than this sh*t Rockstar pulled is that people are actually defending the company.

Innocent people who were randomly given millions, sometimes billions, without them even asking for it are getting banned/sent to this cheater pool bullsh*t. And that seems fine to you? Damn! Some of you guys are so defensive of this company that you'd probably defend them if they banned everybody with more than $100million.

In this story:

hacker = Known Jewel Theif

GTA player = Random Person on Street

R* = FBI

===============================================

KJT: "Here, man, take this billion dollars worth of diamonds

RPS: "Seems legit"

*RPS takes diamond and proceeds to spend it on cars and weapons to protect his remaining diamonds*

FBI: "We've figured you out, KJT. You've been stealing billions and billions of dollars by climbing to the roof, opening the grease trap of the building next door, climbing halfway through the duct system, cutting a hole out, splicing the electrical system to shut off the alarm, then running around the perimeter of the 2nd story subflooring and dropping into the jewelry store via the plumbing wall."

KJT: "Well, f*ck, it was possible, so I figured that it was ok. I'm just sticking it to the man because, for some reason, I hate the man, even though he's the one who mined all those diamonds and created a store for people to shop for them in."

FBI: "We don't care. You're going to jail....where are the diamonds."

KJT: "You'll never find them. I gave them all away."

FBI: "Well, we'll find them because we have trackers on them all and we know who you gave them to"

*FBI confronts RPS about stolen diamonds*

RPS: "What? THESE were stolen? I thought that being handed a billion dollars worth of diamonds was something that happened to people who regularly walk around downtown. "

FBI: "You seriously can't think that."

RPS: "Oh, um, yeah, I totally do. It's just a random life event that's 1,000,000x's more profitable than every other random encounter ever"

FBI: "Yeah. Did you ever think of reporting to the police or FBI that a known jewel theif just handed you all those diamonds for no reason at all?"

RPS: "I didn't cheat. I didn't even want it, but I couldn't say no. You guys are the one who allowed him to steal in the first place. This is all your fault"

FBI: "Well, the first thing you did was spend as much of it as you could instead of reporting the issue with a camera phone shot of him handing it to you"

RPS: "There's nothing wrong with what I did. I'm totally legit. I didn't steal these diamonds, I was gifted them. They're totally mine, legit and all"

*FBI arrests RPS for being a knowing accomplice to a felony*

*anyone sticking up for FBI doing their job is called an idiot and a sheep*

With your logic, everybody who was unwillingly gifted cash was happy to have it. What if some weren't and wanted it gone to avoid bans, but it was too late, banned or no action by almighty R* was taken and you were banned? What is your piece of sh*t justification for that?

Lol, why should you have to report it. The expectation of having every single player that received money against their will get on a different device from their console, make a new account on the Rockstar site, then submit a ticket in the hopes of not getting banned is just silly and absurd.

Why should I be responsible for what other people do to me in an online video game?

Also, people who do report it to Rockstar are also getting banned and cheater pooled, FYI.

SaltyOnionBalls.

If they start doing a cheater pool, you will quickly watch lots of users stop playing this game and in return they will lose MILLIONS of future dollars.

It's not our fault if we exploited the game, maybe they should hire better designers and coders, and how about this genius idea.... BETA TEST YOUR GAMES FIRST.

What happens if you get sent multiple amounts of money from different hackers? Which has happened to some people.

You do realise this could happen to you. Hackers now have a perfect way to grief legit players. Just spam everyone in a lobby with money they don't want and watch then get banned or character reset and sent to the cheaters pool.

People can certainly have all the arguments they want over the fine details of the whole thing, but I agree with this. People should not have to go fill out a report every time they get given money or billion dollar bounties. A number of people have gotten multiple - it's not their job to have to police the game and have to deal with problems/flaws that weren't their fault. Beyond that, you have multiple reports of people who reported it and got banned anyways, so... (shrugs)

Additionally, as noted above, now the billion dollar bounties can increase so that more and more people wind up in CP.

Another good reason why i should trade this game with GT6. I've been gifted 20 million, and another 80 million yesterday. Haven't check the game now but i probably got thrown to cheaters pool. All these mess made me laugh, R* cause a lot of chaos around this forum because of their own screw ups lol

Just by looking at the poll, my guess is it's mostly the hackers/modders that got pwnd by Rockstar. Been playing for a few hours just now, played like usual...everything is fine. Still got my hundreds of millions.

I think the forum might have a bit over-reacted. Understandable of course considering the subject is the wrath of the banhammer.
